> 3 dayI bought this lens for a toss in the back pack lens for good landscape portrait photography. What I discovered was amazingly clear photos even macro, to long. For the price I cannot believe the clarity that I have gotten. I have only worked with the lens twice but will keep updating. Im stunned. I have a lot of lenses. But this is the best cost for price that I have. Even in manual focus, I thought I might lose something....gained...and I am 71 so sight is not pure, but this is amazing.

> 3 dayThis lens is awesome. Great for close up photography. Only comment is that its stronger than ideal for some indoor photography situations, but you can expect that with any 50 mm.

> 3 daydoesnt have image stabilzation, but not needed with tripod doing macro anyway. If I had it to do over, I would have saved for a macro lens, and not bothered with this lens.. I know the pros say to get a 50mm prime lens, but the results have not been as good as my 18-55mm lens. Better than the 70=300, which IMHO sucks, but it was adequate. Guess I was h oping for more, not sure why, had one with my old 35mm, guess things have advanced so much that it left me wanting more. Obvioulsy not a pro, or I would be estatic over the lens, Guess I like the option of the telephoto lens.
