Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

I am a hobbyist at best. I have had my Canon DSLR for about 5 months now and I wanted a lens to take better photos of my kids. This lens does not disappoint. It excels at taking rather close portraits in low light. I then use a free photo editor that I found online to tweak them. It move super slow, though, so its not suitable for pets (except the time I got lucky above) or sports. I highly recommend this lens. I havent had it that long so cannot speak to its durability.

This lense took some practice to get my pictures to turn out clear. Absolutely love how the pictures of my dog turned out.

Für mich ein klasse objektiv, gute Bildqualität und super schön für Portraits , Tier oder Blumenbilder. Da steckt viel drinnen in so einem kleinen objektiv. Super günstig und es macht Spass damit zu fotografieren :-) bin aber kein Profi

Great lens for portraits, however, because its a STM lens, I find that its harder to manually focus. When your depth of field is really low (1.8 for example) and anything, or anyone gets into frame you can say goodbye to the focus on your subject, at least thats what Ive found. Still a good lens though, its great for stills too.

Very good lens. Have taken some killer shots with this guy. Makes me feel like a pro

Great little lens. I took some nice photos in Italy this fall and I am happy how they turned out. This is awesome product for the price.

Great lens for low light environments, sharp images.
