    Absolutely LOVE this lens!! I had a Tamron 24-300mm lens that was very hard to focus. It kept making whirring noises as I tried to focus. I still used it for years and got good photos from it but it didn’t have image stabilization and I was tired of the difficulty in focusing. I read reviews to find a better lens and I’m so happy I purchased this! Even though the Tamron is 300mm and this is 250mm, this is a far superior lens in terms of ease of focus, clarity and detail of photos. The photo of the black capped chickadee shows the remarkable detail and sharpness. I highly recommend this lens and only wish I had purchased it earlier. Tremendous value!

    Great camera lens. I use it with my Cannon T5 and it works great. I could not be happier with this lens. The fact that it also has image stabalization makes a world of difference.

    I am not disappointed with this purchase. This is a quality lens. Not quite an L but almost. Great clarity, minimal aberrations, and a silent motor. I also got a great price on Amazon. All in all, very happy with this lens.

    Its a kit lens. Decent quality for the beginner or up and coming photographer/videographer. I personally will sell this one and put the money toward a Rokinon prime lens.

    Works extremely well as far as I can tell. Im still learning how to do telephoto photography, so my rating may or may not be totally accurate, but so far all is as advertised.

Compact and lightweight with Optical Image Stabilizer for up to 3.5* equivalent stops of shake correction, it extends the camera"s reach significantly, capturing sharp images of far away objects, even when handheld. It features Canon"s amazing STM stepping motor and a newly designed high-speed CPU, rear focus mechanism and improved AF algorithm for high-speed performance, supporting Canon"s Movie Servo AF for smooth, quiet and continuous focus adjustments. The EF-S 55–250mm f/4–5.6 IS STM lens features one UD lens element that reduces chromatic aberration, helping to achieve excellent image quality with high resolution and contrast. The front element does not rotate, ensuring easy compatibility with accessories like polarizing filters, and full-time manual focus is available even while in AF mode. Enhanced coatings on the lens elements deliver excellent color balance and minimize ghosting and flare, and a 7-blade circular aperture delivers beautiful, soft backgrounds. The EF-S 55–250mm f/4–5.6 IS STM lens has a compact design thanks to a new six-group zoom system that provides a maximum magnification of 0.29x at the telephoto end and a minimum focusing distance of 2.79 ft./0.85m throughout the zoom range.
