Love it! This has enhanced our photo taking abilities many levels.

Great pictures but the best feature is the video. Focus is amazingly smooth, fat and quiet. I have been using this lend for my sons football games and was very pleased with the results. I am using it with the canon 70d.

I got this lens a few weeks ago. I have wanted one for a long time. I got money back after returning an external drive. Which took MONTHS to work out. So, I got this. I knew my mom, step dad and I were going to the Baltimore Zoo.

I bought this lens for using with a Canon and a Sony Alpha (with adapter and using manual focus) cameras, but soon discovered that it will not work on the Sony, because the focus ring is not mechanical, and the manual focus works just when the lens is powered by a Canon camera. I also noted that the focusing ring has no distance indication, which could be useful when using manual focus for video recording. I considered to exchange it for the older model (IS II), but it looked the same, and the only lens that now have distance indication are very heavy and expensive. So I realized that there is no perfect lens. This lens takes great photos, has IS (image stabilization), fast focus (not so fast in low light), is lightweight and low priced, but if you want a lens for using with manual focus only, better buy a old mechanical, not electronic lens.

I dont know much about cameras but needed a longer lens to take photos of my son at his football games from the stands, this lens was perfect! My pictures turned out great! I have a Canon Rebel EOS T3. It was a good price for an entry level lens and perfect for what I needed it for. I just wish that it came with a sleeve to store it in when not in use. Guess I will have to buy one of those for it!
