Im using this lens with a Canon SL1, Ive been really impressed with its sharpness and focus accuracy. Granted Ive been using overwhelmingly in good light, but Ive been super satisfied. Its also very lightweight which makes it easier to use and carry around all day (balance is not a problem even on a light camera). The image stabilization has been great (in normal use Ive never really wanted to be able to push the shutter speed even slower). And on top of that its able to focus reasonably closely, meaning you can do decent close up photos. Its not a macro lens, but its also probably more versatile than any of those. I also have the 135 f2 which is an unbelievable lens, but between the weight, stabilization and flexibility I frequently end up grabbing this lens over the 135.

Ill start this review by saying that Im _VERY_ new to digital photography, and picked up a Canon Rebel T3 in a very aggressively-priced box set about a month ago. The kit came with the standard 15-50mm non-IS lens, and that only left me happy for about two weeks.

Im a beginner photographer and this lens is just what I needed!
