Im just a beginner in the photography world, and I understand sky is the limit when it comes to lenses. This one was no expensive (when compared to many other) and for a truly amateur like me, its the perfect lens.

As other reviewers have noticed, this version is exceptionally sharp - up there with my 300 F4 IS and my 70-200 2.8 IS. Makes a great 3 lens combo for the 70D with the 10-18 and 18-135

I really love this lens. Takes amazing pictures. Not as much zoom as I expected, but its also my first time purchasing/trying a zoom lens. Its going to be great for my Central America trip!
