Caran dAche Classic Neocolor II Water-Soluble Pastels, 15 Colors

Arrived damaged. 3 Neocolors were broken. Tin bent and does not close. But the deal was so good on this set, I can live with the beat up tin and broken crayons. They retail for twice what I paid, so I didnt expect them to arrive in 100% pristine condition. You get what you pay for. These are still 100% completely usable and still do what they are meant to do. I like a bargain, so I am still happy with my set.

What fun I am having with these! Some others I have tried have been so soft that trying to draw was a joke or too hard to lay down intense hue. These are just right, and I like all the colors I have to play with. When I use a wet brush, a new world opens up. I will always go back to traditional watercolors, but these are the melding of drawing and painting, a new animal for me that I keep finding occasions to use.

I love the quality and variety of this set. These crayons are fun and easy to use. They do tend to break rather easily where the paper covering is perforated. I suppose they perforate the paper to make it easier to tear off neatly? Anyway, I just taped them back together with a single layer of tape and they worked fine. Ill deal with the tape when I get to it...shouldnt be a problem....

Such amazing saturation. Bright colors. Opaque. In a class of their own.

Needed these for my daughters art class. Upon opening the box, we noticed one was broken. Not sure if this left the manufacturer like this, or happened when the delivery driver tossed in onto my front porch...

Just learning all the possible uses of this product is exciting.
