> 3 dayThese are perfect for sketching. They are slick, creamy and easy to use. You have a lot of control over how much line you wish to leave in the drawing. The wax pastel washes more easily than other watersoluable media I have used.

Greater than one weekCaveat: This review is from a quilter who likes to play with different media; from not a painter or sketcher. You dont need to use a lot of crayon to get a lot of pigment. Ive used these on paper and on fabric with much success. My favourite method for controlling the blending of colours is to scribble two or more crayons on a piece of mylar, overlapping them or in close proximity, and apply a wet brush. So easy. Since crayons get used up (unlike dolls and cars), I only gave 4 stars for durability. Yes these may seem expensive, but they go far.

> 3 dayI have nothing but great things to say about these. They blend beautifully and the colors in the set are fantastic. Im just learning how to use them but so far they are wonderful!!! If I could justify buying their large sets of all their products I would.

> 3 dayThese are really fun to work with. The colors are vibrant. They roll on smoothly and the colors spread easily with a wet brush. Based on reviews I bought these and the Portfolio oil pastels. There is no comparison even though the reviews for Portfolio are great. Portfolio left dots of pigment that didnt dissolve and Neocolor II did not. I love trying the different methods of using them wet or dry. I also like how they blend when layered and how you can go back when dry or still wet and add another shade on top and blend that or let it be. Now I want all the colors!!

> 3 dayCaran dAche Classic Neocolor II Water-Soluble Pastels, 84 Colors...when I ordered this item for $$$ I expected to get exactly what it said, 84 Colors. When I opened it there were only 42 crayons in the package. I was very disappointed at what I received and was expecting more for the $$$. I previously ordered a 10 set and got 10. Can someone explain this to me. Maybe I am just confused.

> 3 dayThe colors and textures are fine, but they keep breaking. After only two or three uses, five out of the ten pastels have crumbled in some way, mostly broken off at the point, often down below the paper covering. They are a little bit too fragile and possibly dry, and I would not buy them again for this reason.

> 3 dayOf them I use them on campus. I have used them on paper along with watercolors and acrylic. Paint mix the medias together.
