I don’t know why I find this game addictive. I have played online a lot using the iOS app, and a couple of times with friends, using their games. I figured it was time to get one of my own. I do wish the pieces were easier to organize using 3rd party bins, but the black insert is very specific, so you have to store parts underneath the board tiles. It’s not bad, though. My only complaint is that the colors (red, white, blue, and orange), while very distinct for each other, are a bit strange compared to the rest of the game’s color scheme. I don’t remember seeing these colors when playing other people’s games (maybe the orange; maybe they also have the expansion and use those pieces instead).

This game is such an expensive game however, everyone Ive ever talked to says its worth it. I splurged and got this and the 5-6 expansion set. What a fun game except for that stupid little robber! HA! We had a blast playing it. Definitely worth the price!

I loooove this game! My brother in law introduced us to it and not only do we play at least several times a month in our house, but we have also gotten several friends addicted to it as well. It’s so versatile, and it’s great that an expansion is offered to be able to play with up to 6 people.

Entertaining if youre a nerd, and I am. Its kind of similar to Monopoly but different.

Great game! I will buy it again if more of my friends kids were old enough to enjoy it... Its a great strategy game, and it keeps kids entertained for hours. No batteries need it.

Replaces my older version of Catan. Quality of all components appear to be improved over previous version. I especially enjoy having the frame on the outer edge lock together to keep the island in one piece during play.

Fun game, teaching my 7 year old how to play and she loves it.
