> 24 hourThis is intended as a 50 ohm flat window sash pass-through for coaxial cable used by amateur radio operators or others who need to get the coax from outside to inside without drilling a hole in wall or window sash for coax. It is quite flat with overall thickness of about 1/16 inch so it can use the space between the window sash and frame. It is well constructed with sealed joints on the ribbon conductor.

> 24 hourI love the idea of this type of jumper. It is thin so you can smash it in the window and it will still work. The idea being that you dont need to drill holes in your house to run an antenna cable in. I use this for connecting a HAM radio in to my basement office. Im not a big fan of drilling holes in my house to get cables installed and connected, which is why I installed conduit in the walls of my house for everything that I could consider at the time the house was built. I obviously didnt consider getting in to HAM radio, so I didnt put any conduit to that side of the house. This jumper allowed me to get an antenna cable in to the house without needing to drill a hole. It has been installed in the window now for a couple of months, during fairly cold weather. I have not noticed and leakage from the window where it is installed. One thing that I have not yet tried is to put the screen back in place. I am not sure if the screen will have enough force to push the cable out of the way, or if it will just bend the screen. But, I will probably find out when it gets a little warmer. Overall, I am happy with this jumper, but I deducted one star because these jumpers seems insanely expensive for what they are.

> 24 hourThis product solves the problem of getting a coax feed line into the house without drilling through the wall.I use it with my Icom receiver with a outside antenna. This has coax connectors on both ends and is thin enough to close the window no problem, it can also go under a door if you need too do that. I am just a DXer but hams can transmit with up to 100 watts with this thing. Very good solution to an old problem, for me a must have.

> 24 hourWindows in our leased house are the swing-out variety, so the usual slide-window pass-throughs dont fit. I eventually bought three of these, one for HF, one for VHF and one for UHF. Insertion loss is better than I expected, and SWR is acceptable in all three bands. The only downside is that being as thin as they are theyre not the sturdiest. Best used in locations where you can put them in and then dont open/close the windows a lot.

> 24 hourThey work and for a window sill in a house you will probably never have a problem, but if you use them for a rear window in a two seat pickup, Chevy Silverado, etc, you should modify it. The problem with a vehicle is the part that hangs outside and is exposed to the wind will eventually start coming apart at the flat cable connection. I luckily caught mine before it completely broke in two. It still has continuity through both conductors. To repair it, I laid the flat cable back along side the box that houses the connector and taped if tight against the housing on both ends. I will now wait and see how long it lasts as they are a little expensive. I will probably buy a replacement just in case it breaks during a hunting trip when I need it the most.

> 24 hourI bought one of those non-descript cell phone signal boosters to help me with the reception in my basement office. This jumper, while a bit pricey (I only paid around $70 for my booster), does the job just fine. I tested the booster with and without the passthrough jumper, and it has no detectable effect on the signal. I had to get a set of UHF/PL-259 Male to N Female Connectors to hook it up, and everything works well. I am in the early stages of planning my ham radio shack, so Ill be buying more of these. My wife takes a dim view of drilling holes in the wall.

> 24 hourThe convenience-factor is high in this one. It gives you a chance to breath and decide exactly where you want to drill that hole in the wall, rather than jumping the gun and drilling in a location youll regret later. Best left in-place and only moved occasionally, but in general they wear well (just in case your final decision is slow coming).
