I have already purchased two of these units. They’ve done a fantastic job cleaning the air. and are easy to clean and replace filters as needed. Something I did not expect was that the amount of dusting I needed to do the house was cut in half. While it may be a little larger on the facia than other units, the modern/art deco styling looks good in any room. I decided to buy a third one to cover one more room. Again, excellent quality and does the job. No complaints.

I just bought my second Coway Airmega - because Ive had the first one for 5 years, it still works great, and I needed a purifier in another zone of my home. This time around, I needed something for my office. The microphone I use for calls somehow picks up pretty minimal background noise - but this purifier is perfect. The 1st level is nearly silent, and level 2 is quieter than our bathroom fan. I typically put mine on level 3 to sleep, because its really good white noise. I really like that this model uses a pretty big air filter, so it catches a lot. Every time I clean the filters or replace them, Im impressed by what it picked up. The ONLY downside to this air purifier is the notification light on the top - theres an indicator light that changes colors depending on air quality in the room. When trying to sleep, its pretty bright, so weve covered the light with tape. Other than that... its so nice, I bought it twice! TLDR; if you want an air purifier that packs a punch, but also has a super quiet setting, stop looking and buy the Coway Airmega!

What I love: this does what it says it will do, the LED light turns off at night, and you have a lot of options on the settings, timing, sensitivity, and speed. What I wish: that it were smaller and cheaper, but cest la vie. Good stuff.

I bought this air purifier to use in our guest house which is connected directly to our barn. As you can imagine, the smell from our goats seeps through every nook and cranny and makes for an unpleasant experience. I placed the air purifier just inside the door that connects the two buildings and after just a few hours I noticed a huge difference!! I have left it running nonstop since it was installed and haven’t run into any issues whatsoever. It’s not completely silent but it’s very quiet and you quickly get used to the white noise sound of the fan. Considering purchasing another, so would definitely recommend!

My wife, son and I all suffer from seasonal allergies, we have also recently had mold issues in our apartment due to a faulty water heater and mold in windowpanes from the time we moved in. While we were able to keep inside mold at bay, after maintenance discovered our water heater was leaking and repaired it, we found the exterior closet where the water heater is located, riddled with mold. We then started seeing mold inside, as there are gaps in the walls behind the baseboards, which is where I feel the mold is now intruding from. We have a German Shepherd who sheds all the time, no matter how much we brush him. We also are unable to open some of the windows in our unit, which can make the air seem stale and management hasnt been a help on that front. Unfortunately, we cant afford to move and are still under lease. I started looking for an air purifier like the Allen i45 model I had purchased for my parents house in NW Indiana back in 2021. That unit was exceptional, it kept the dust down, it pulled in the dog hair to the point the pre-filter needed to be vacuumed every couple of days and it took the mold that occurred, due to condensation build up on the windows, from coming back. You could also smell the difference in the air inside their house. Unfortunately, the Allen unit was more than 3 times the price of these Coway models. I read the positive reviews, I looked at Wirecutter, who ranked these units a top pick for 9 years and decided this would be a good alternative for our apartment. So, I purchased two of them to cover our two-bedroom apartment in Vancouver, WA. When the units arrived, I noticed how much smaller they were than the Allen unit, but this didnt concern me as the specs were similar. I immediately set them up in our living room and in the main bedroom. I had just that day also cleaned the visible mold with bleach, killing off anything I had found, in order to help the Coway units function more efficiently. Upon powering up the units, they both showed the air quality to be good, which we knew wasnt true, so I adjusted the sensor to the sensitive mode on both. They still both showed good air quality, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt, as I had just cleaned the same day. I went to work that evening and when I arrived home, the air quality in the apartment wasnt improved. The stale smell was still there. I kicked the units into High (3) from the Auto setting. I immediately had to cut back to the Medium (2) fan setting, as High was shockingly louder than Medium. In fact, the Allen unit my parents have is as loud on its highest setting as the Coway is on Medium. But that wasnt a deal breaker for us. I decided to give it another day to see if things improved. Again, mind you, the Allen unit is so efficient that my parents have to vacuum the pre-filter every couple of days as it pulls in most of the dust and dog hair in the house. One unit, 1,100 sq ft house. After two full days of running two Coway units in our 850 sq ft apartment on Medium setting, the pre-filters barely have any dog hair on them and absolutely no dust. The latter could be due to the way we clean, but my mother vacuums and dusts nearly daily, we vacuum every other day and dust every four or five days. Im also seeing a bit of mold cropping up again, so it hasnt affected that either. In our bedroom, our sinuses continue to be stuffed up at night as the Coway units havent helped with our allergies at all, as several other reviews have claimed. Many years ago, I owned an air purifier with Ionizer from Oreck. Within moments of turning that unit on, which fit on a shelf, we could smell the ozone it created and could tell the difference in the air quality after only a short time. Ive had the Ionizer on the Coway units engaged since we set them up and none of us can smell anything different. Sadly, it seems as though you get what you pay for, and unfortunately, were going to have to pay a much higher price for one of the Allen units if we want to have actual results. Perhaps we received faulty units, but I find it difficult to believe that both would be bad. If they are, it would indicate quality control issues at the manufacturer. We had high hopes for the Coway air purifiers and are very disappointed in our purchase and will be returning both units to Amazon. One other disappointing item, on the Allen unit, I could turn off the lights and they would only come on briefly when it indicated a change in air quality, then would go back off. While you can defeat the air quality light on the Coway, it doesnt come back on at all. Another reviewer said the lights arent bright in their bedroom, as the reviewer was sensitive to light at night and couldnt even have the light from a clock radio nearby while trying to sleep. Im the same way, and I can tell you, the lights lit up our bedroom if I didnt disable the air quality indicator. I hope others arent getting the placebo effect in thinking that the units are working when they really arent, but there is a definite difference between the Allen i45 I purchased for my parents and the Coway units. Personally, I cant recommend them to anyone, as our experience has been anything but positive.

I have owned this purifier for 8 years with absolutely no issues. It has dramatically improved my indoor air quality. I now own two. I cannot imagine a better and more reliable air purifier. Since the wildfire smoke is really bad right now, I’m glad I already have these. If you don’t own one, now is the time.

Used this yesterday afternoon for the first time. Set it on Eco mode on the sensitive setting. With the ionizer on. Started feeling a lot better with improvement in air quality. Let it run through the night. Woke up with a dry and inflamed sinus. Realized it probably was the ionizer (ozone). So now Im using it with the ionizer off. Otherwise its nice and quiet, and easy to setup. Judging from the previous reviews, it works just as well without the ionizer.

I love this purifier!! I was told I had allergies so I purchased this and see a big improvements in my eye irritation. I put it in my room and the air smells so fresh. The buttons light up bright on top, I just lay a black cloth just to cover the buttons at night or it makes for a good night light if you want. It was a windy day and there is construction directly behind my home. The purifier was near my back open door and immediately the sensor turned red. I closed the door and the sensor went back to green. My eyes look and feel so much better since Ive been using this purifier. I will be buying another one for a different room but for now I move it around.
