Greater than one weekIm not sure how this is so highly rated. Although it does work, more or less, for the price it really has many issues of poor design. Some of the features you are paying for are useless because of the way they work. 1. The Air Quality Indicator is useless. It stays blue (meaning good) even at readings that are clearly high on my 2 separate Air Quality meters. For example, with an AQI of 90 and PMI2.5 of 35 (both of which are definitely too high and cause problems for my asthma), the indicator on this unit still shows that the air quality is good. From reading other reviews, I think this is a design defect and not just a one-time faulty unit. 2. Because of the problem with the Air Quality indicator, that makes the Auto and ECO modes useless as well. If I turn on Auto, it just stays on low fan speed (which is very, very low) all the time. And on ECO mode it seems like it would just never turn on, although I didnt test that extensively. Apparently the air quality would have to be pretty severely bad for this unit to register that its out of the good range. Whereas I need something to try to make the air quality as good as I can get it, not something where a moderately bad air quality is considered good. (There is a sensitivity setting for this indicator, and I had it set to the most sensitive setting. So the issue would be worse at the medium/ standard setting.) 3. The Fan speeds dont make any sense, meaning manual operation of the speed is also problematic. Speeds 1 and 2 are both quite low and dont do much. Speed 3 is then a very large amount of air moved and very loud. In other words, speed 2 is not in the middle between speed 1 and 3. Its much closer to speed 1, and then theres a big jump from 2 to 3. So I guess it would work if you wanted to manually leave it set to Speed 3 100% of the time. Otherwise, there is no speed that meets what I need much of the time, which is a middle speed. Again, after digging deep into other reviews and customer questions, I did see someone else reference this, so its not just a one-time defect in the unit I received. 4. Other misc notes if you do decide to buy this - The Air Quality Indicator light is very, very large and bright, lighting up the dark room when I tried to sleep. Although the user manual doesnt mention this, you can hold the Ionizer button down for 3 seconds to turn off this obnoxious light. - Moving and unpacking the unit as shipped could be problematic for some people. The Coway box it ships in is fairly large and bulky, about 20x22x13, so quite a bit larger than the unit itself. So although its not really heavy, if you have short arms and have to move this anywhere before unpacking, it might be a little difficult because of the bulk. It also means you have to be able to lift it almost 2 feet to get the unit out of the box (theres an inner box that is a very tight fix inside the outer box) or turn the box over. So again if you have short arms or have any strength limitation issues, the unpacking might be a bit of a problem for you even though its not super heavy. Also note that the AC power cable has plastic tightly wrapped and taped around it, and there isnt any way to get it completely off without cutting. That could be dangerous if you accidentally cut a little bit into the AC cable while trying to get this off, so please be careful. Its also difficult to remove the plastic bag on one of the filters without cutting, so you do need a knife or scissors to unpack and set this up. Overall, Im not happy with this at all and am going to buy something else. Update: I decided to give this one more chance. After trying it again, two further observations: - Even with an AQI (on my separate monitors) of close to 150, and PMI2.5 of around 50, the air quality indicator on the unit still shows blue = good on the most sensitive setting, so the auto mode still wont kick up being the lowest level - The unit has started making a whining noise, in addition to the normal fan noise. The whining noise, while not incredibly loud, is more obnoxious and annoying than the white noise of the fan, because its more of a constant tone.

> 3 dayI read all the other reviews and was motivated to buy this particular product and I am VERY GLAD I DID. It is so quiet and I can feel it working which is great!!! The packaging weighs a lot more than the actual product so be aware when lifting it. I simply took a knife and cut it away and then it was easy to move to my apartment. ONE NOTE: I HAD OFFERED THE DRIVER A SUBSTANTIAL TIP TO DELIVER IT TO MY DOOR BUT THEY UNFORTUNATELY (FOR THEM) DID NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY... SO I HAD PIZZA FOR DINNER TONIGHT:) GREAT PRODUCT. WORTH THE EXPENSE!!

> 3 dayDoes a good job of getting the particles out of the air in my bedroom. Before I started using this device I could see all the dust in the air (I live in the desert) in the morning sunshine coming through the windows. I can definitely tell a difference now and I breathe easier at night.

> 3 dayI was wanting a smaller room size cleaner as I have it sitting up near the ceiling in my wood stove room for the wood smoke.. AND, I wanted a remote control due to the height. HOWEVER, Im SO pleased with the auto sensor on the cleaner. When a puff of smoke escapes, the cleaner senses it and I see and hear the motor turn on high for a few minutes. When the air is cleaned, it turns back to low auto. I will buy another for my bedroom as hayfever season is coming and that will be a huge test on how it cleans the air!

> 3 dayBought one of these for one of my kids who has asthma. They use it at their moms house. It improved her breathing so much that I bought one for my house. This and proper preventative maintenance has helped reduce asthma attacks dramatically. PROTIP: Find the filters on Amazon, and set it up on Subscribe and Save for every 3 months. Once the filter arrives, replace it immediately. Do that every three months and youre good to go. Since its on subscribe and save its much harder to forget about since they just show up (PS: Do the same thing for your toothbrush heads).

Greater than one weekThis is my third air purifier and it is a charm! What is important for me? 1. Purifies air well 2. Noise quality and level 3. Steady built vs flimsy 4. Different speeds 5. Ease of use This machine has all the above. I wanted air purifier as I learned already from my experience with my previous two air purifiers - it really makes a difference for me for a good relaxing night sleep. However, my previous two had couple of issues. My first one was good at the beginning but then instead of soothing woosh it started producing some screechy noise as it was on a flimsy side and very soon the insides started sound worn out. My second one, Rabbit Air, more expensive and solid, I purchased to address the flimsiness of the first one. Well, I did not like it. While not flimsy, with the promised quiet operation, it maybe was not too loud (nor quiet), but the quality of noise reminded of airplane buzz. The looks were quite awful as well. But it does the job. So I kept it but not for sleeping. This Coway is great for sleeping! It is truly quiet on the low settings with barely noticeable hum of pleasant kind. On high settings it does the woosh. Friendly, pleasant woosh. Not like a grass mower or air plane. It was very easy to unpack and get it started. Less than 5 min. It is also very light to carry from room to room if there is a need. It is not flimsy looking and hopefully not flimsy inside. I like the air quality indicator feedback, but it is kind of bright blue, so maybe during night I will have to tape it. This is the only thing, which I see can be improved, but overall it is not a big deal for me. The most important parameters are of excellent quality!

> 3 dayI really love this product. But left off one star. If you have a cat(s), be aware this purifier might be a magnetic and due to the placement of the control buttons, you will constantly have to turn on the item again or adjust controls. My cats love the air that blows out on the lowest setting, so much so that I am going to have to fashion some sort of hard cover for the control panel. They keep jumping up to enjoy the air and end up turning off the unit. Of course, I didnt think of that at all when I chose it. And I cant blame the design team for my cats proclivities. But I do want to warn others who might have the same situation.

> 3 dayVery quiet and efficient. Filters dust, animal hair and smells. We use puppy pads for our little Yorkie and it always changes color when she poops. Easy to move around the house. We move to the kitchen when cooking fish and it gets rid of the smell. We’ll buy another for our bedroom-super quiet on #1 setting.
