One of the parts had poorly machined threads, and wouldnt accept a screw. I reported it to the seller, and after some back an forth, they agreed to ship a replacement part. They told me theyd notify me when it shipped, but I havent heard anything, and its been over a week. Otherwise its fine, but I cant really recommend it based on my experience.

Great metal extruder kit. The springs alone are a biggggg upgrade. Keeps that bed level, and if you need to relevel anything, it is just bare adjustments to get it back where it needs to be. The tubing is great as well, makes it easier to switch out and feed filament. Just follow directions on YouTube, but make sure to take a few pics of your current setup prior to taking things apart. Just in case....

This is a great little kit, dont get me wrong - it is great value and adds some small nice improvements but some of the reviews are outright misleading. No, this won’t increase your print quality basically at all Nor does it allow you to increase print speed in any way. The amount of factors that contribute to the end product of a print are many and tiny tweaks here and there can be either imperceptible or be the difference of printing a blob of ugly plastic spaghetti. Good calibration and tuning of your settings, steppers, flow rate, temps, retractions, leveling, and combing settings are going to have infinitely more of an impact on your print quality and speed than most physical upgrades and this product is no exception. If you want more out of your printer, look into those things first! Even if you have a 5 thousand dollar printer, it’s nothing without those tweaks! BUT That doesn’t mean it is a waste, far from it. I like this little kit and it’s a nice humble addition to my lovely soldier that is my Ender 3 Pro. My stock extruder clamp actually managed to snap one day after several months of use, but with this version I certainly won’t have that issue again! It fit really well and so long as you assemble it correctly, the tolerances and accuracy was excellent. Having tried one of the red “off brand” versions just prior, that thing sucked. This one has actual precision in its creation, I was actually amazed because I wasn’t really expecting much of a real difference either. I could go off about just how crappy the red one I got prior, but I digress. The Capricorn tubing is nice and it is better than the stock PTFE tubing, but it is also not magic either. The tolerances and precision of the tubing IS better, I checked. For most standard print materials like PLA and PETG, there is exactly zero difference using this, despite being superior. HOWEVER, with other filaments and special use cases, there IS a difference. Some TPUs and filaments that happen to run particularly hot (like, hot hot) you will actually find there is benefit to this tubing. I will give credit where credit is due there, I just don’t want people getting the wrong idea that these things just magically make better prints - it just isn’t that simple most of the time. The addition of the bed springs is, I mean, sure why not? I hope I don’t really need to explain that this isn’t going to be magic either, but they seem very well made and I imagine will hold their leveling for a while. At the end of the day - Yes it is a solid upgrade IF you have already given your printer the proper love and attention so it can do it’s best already. The added durability of parts and flexibility for options, coupled with a nice style - I do certainly recommend it. Just make sure you actually understand it before falling into the placebo of magically better prints like some reviews seem to have done. That isn’t anecdotal evidence that it doesn’t improve prints - It is just straight up not really how a 3D printer works. But if you want a lil upgrade for your Ender 3, by all means this is a good choice.

This small upgrade has improved my print quality on all my rigid filaments. Havent tried any flex yet. Keep you posted.

If your printer came with a generic plastic extruder, which most do, you may want to consider upgrading to this metal extruder. One thing I noticed with the stock extruder is that if you don’t have a filament guide, the filament CAN eventually slice into the plastic extruder. With this metal extruder, that won’t happen. This isn’t a complicated upgrade either. It’s a one for one replacement of the original so it’s pretty straightforward to swap it out. I do feel like the spring for the metal extruder helps keep stronger tension on the filament which in turn helps to keep consistent filament flow and retraction. I highly recommend this inexpensive upgrade for any plastic extruder.

I purchased this for my Voxelab Aquila, mainly for the springs & Capricorn tube.. both of which are absolutely fantastic and I would for sure purchase again when needed.. On the other side of things, the actual extruder is another story.. it fits great but the spring has way too much tension and even at the lightest it is stripping out filament which has resulted in many many hours of troubleshooting and attempting to resolve it.

I have an Ender 3 Pro and after all sorts of upgrades such as glass bed, silent board, capricorn tubing, rubber sheaths for the bed springs, noctua fans, BL touch, upgraded bed springs, etc Id say the all metal extruder is ranked pretty high as a must have. Originally I was using the plastic one that came with the machine but it had cracked and I didnt notice causing all sorts of weird issues like having to print PLA at ridiculous temps, infill looking terrible, etc. Now Im printing at 120mm/s including walls and 20mm/s for the first 2 layers and its running like a dream. It churns out prints regardless of what speed I push it to with no sacrifice in quality; going to be trying 150mm/s next but I dont think Ill have any trouble. If I had to pick 3 of my upgrades that made the biggest impact, Id say the silent board, all metal extruder and glass bed are my must haves. BL touch is great but you find that you dont need to relevel the bed nearly as often as you think and unless youre doing extremely precise objects (down the the microns level), its really not necessary. I maybe relevel the bed once per month.

If you plan on doing a lot of printing you definitely want this. It is completely worth the cost and not to difficult to install.

The corner screw that holds the arm is a couple of MM to short. This has been reported on this product for quite a while and creality has still not fixed it. The one star is for that reason. Not install able the way it comes. Easy enough to purchase the correct screw but should not have to.

Its probably too early to tell if it actually makes a difference but it installed perfectly without any issues.
