20-11-2024The Capricorn Bowden tubing is too narrow it barely lets filament through, I tried 3 different filaments and at some point it got jammed due to the narrow Bowden tube. I measured each filament at the points it jammed and found them to be at acceptable tolerance diameter. I also looked at the nozzle and hot end for clogs which there weren’t any. I even disconnected the Bowden tube from the hot end and just tried to hand feed filament through and that was very hard at times because of the friction. If you buy this just be prepared to buy another Bowden tube

18-11-2024Very low quality on the tube fittings. Tube has come loose several times ruining the print, teeth have broken off the inner retaining ring meaning it now wont hold the tube at all. This uses a different size fitting than the original stock part so I cant even scavenge the a replacement from the old one. I have to order a new part (from a different company) or reinstall the old feeder. Do not waste your money on this piece of junk.

> 3 dayGreat upgrade for the e series printers. One note is to make sure that the screw for the lever is snug but not over snug as it may cause the extruder to bind too much and not allow to filiment to progress thru as needed

> 3 dayDont wait for the original plastic extruder on your Ender 3 to crack. Get a metal one. Thats some of the first advice you will get on any 3D printing forum, That and to get Capricorn tubing. The yellow bed springs do seem to be holding their position better than the originals. There was about twice as much tubing as you need in this kit for an Ender 3. Its a good idea to keep it as short as you can make it while still flowing smoothly into the hot end at its furthest extension. I was even able to successfully print using TPU after installing this upgrade, even though everyone thinks you need a direct drive print head.

Greater than one weekThe Creality Upgrade Ender 3 Extruder is an excellent upgrade for those who want to take their 3D printing experience to the next level. The metal extruder is made of high-quality aluminum and features an MK8 Bowden extruder and 40 teeth drive gear, making it an ideal upgrade for the Ender 3 Pro, Ender 5 Pro, Ender 5 Plus, and CR-10 series 3D printers. Installation of the extruder is relatively simple and straightforward, making it easy for beginners to upgrade their printers. The metal aluminum construction of the extruder is sturdier than the stock extruders, reducing the risk of breakages and ensuring that it lasts longer. The upgrades benefits are many, including improved filament feeding, reduced risk of clogs, and easier maintenance overall. The improved filament feeding reduces the risk of under-extrusion and uneven filament flow, resulting in high-quality prints. Overall, the Creality Upgrade Ender 3 Extruder is an outstanding upgrade for any 3D printer enthusiast. The upgrade is affordable, easy to install, and significantly improves the printing experience. If youre looking to take your 3D printing experience to the next level, then this upgrade is undoubtedly worth it.

> 3 dayI should have paid attention that the listing was by comgrow but wolias was fulfilling the order. I have 4 major issues with my order. First, I got standard springs, not the upgraded yellow springs. Second, the extruder was scratched up. Third, the the smaller coupler wasnt even included. Then finally, the tubing was gouged and looks like someone already mangled it in an extruder. Be careful who you buy from.

> 3 dayThis works really good, my extruder motor did not come with the same gold peice this one comes with but even if yours doesnt you can still use this with no problem. Dont try to take it off

> 3 dayMy Ender 3s have been printing much better since the upgrade. Its also way easier to get the filament feeding into the Bowden tube with the new metal parts. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayI dont normally bother writing reviews, but Ill make an exception in this case. Dont make the mistake I did! I just wanted to upgrade the springs on my bed because it wouldnt stay leveled for very long. I saw this was only $10 more and thought Id upgrade now per internet recommendations. The extruder isnt machined correctly. Its too tight and skips when pushing filament through, until it breaks the filament. Its not user error, theres really no way to set it up wrong. The PTFE tube is also tighter on 1.75mm filament than the stock extruder - it slides through with much more friction. I switched back to the stock extruder and tube, and its working correctly again. TLDR; Extruder and tube just plain dont work, caused lots of headache in troubleshooting.
