The plastic one that comes with the printer will eventually break.

I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was causing my under extrusion issue on my Ender 3 for over a month. I bought this metal upgrade kit thinking maybe the teeth on my extruder gear were worn down and figured I may as well upgrade the whole extruder to metal since it cost the same as buying a couple replacement gears by themselves. When I went to replace the plastic extruder I realized there was a huge crack under the pully that was reducing the tension and causing the issue all along. This kit will ensure this never happens again! Other positives: - Super easy to install - The larger bowden tube connector is a significant upgrade that some other kits dont have. Negatives: - I wish this kit would have included an upgraded steel gear rather than the stock brass one but I dont think it makes that much of a difference.

Works great, a nice upgrade from the plastic setup but mine came a burr inside the holes where the filament travels through in both the spring lever arm and main body. It was so bad it started peeling the filament during the print. A little work with a jewelers round file and some fine grit sand paper fixed it, that’s the reason for four stars, if the burr was in the most important part it wouldn’t have been a big deal. Great upgrade nonetheless. The springs work exactly as they should and make the leveling process much better

Ive got an ender 3 NEO that came with the plastic extruder and it got to the point were it would slip out half way through even a 2 hour long print. This bolts right up in 10 minutes and has works flawlessly.

Its understandable that the was inexpensive put for it to brake after the first print.

The springs seem fine, and the metal extruder parts seem fine. However, the Bowden tubing was slipping. I couldnt tell if it was a problem with the tubing or the coupling. I ended up buying another full kit to replace it. I contacted the seller multiple times and got no response, so I replaced it. After that, they responded and wanted pictures or video. Wasnt worth the trouble, so I just let it go. Amazon would have done a return, but I would have had to disassemble everything, including the Extruder, to return it, so, again, wasnt worth it.

The product works great and is good quality. The instructions aren’t very helpful so look up a how to video.

This kit comes with everything you need to upgrade your Ender 3 v2 extruder from plastic to metal. the bed leveling spring I did not use seemed to be a bit too much for my bed and didnt allow much adjustment. The tubing and fittings were all installed without a problem along with the spacers that will stop the bowden tube from shifting. Def a buy again when I upgrade printers if and when!

This upgrade made all the Difference in my PETG printing. Now i can Bed level and it seems to stay put much better with these springs. The Capricorn tubing lasts quite well with the PETG 245c printing temp, even on the Stock print head. Ive printed for nearly a week straight with no issues. VERY HAPPY with this this! Only reason to upgrade heat break is just out of Caution, not necessary for PETG
