Great SSD for a 3 year old Dell

I expected an SSD and thats what I got. It works with little setup.

This drive has been fast and reliable in my Mac mini. Since its a 2TB drive, I use it for my system and data volumes and have zero complains. I appreciate that Crucial offers a Mac-compatible firmware update process for it.

Dependable, easy-to-install. I bought two, one for my PC and the other for my Macbook Pro. Both installations were easy and for the past year I have not had any problems.

I posted a review weeks ago which was rejected - and EVEN Amazon reps could NOT figure out why - so here we are again. HOPEFULLY this will help those - which it appears are DOZENS and DOZENS of people who returned this drive after not being able to use the software that came with it.

I have a laptop that needs to change from HDD to this SSD that I just bought and like the instructions says, I tried to use the official version of Acronis True Image made for this product. Waste of time a corrupted my drive. I had backup at least but yeah doesnt work. You need to pay for up-to-date version of the software if you want to actually use it. As an external drive for a secondary drive this will work just fine however if you want to make this as a boot drive. You better spend the extra $75 for the Samsung one as you are also paying for the software to be able use the darn thing.
