> 3 dayTengo un viejo PC, una DELL Optiplex mini, el cual tenia un disco duro mecánico. Remplacé ese disco duro por éste de estado sólido y realmente le ha ayudado mucho en el rendimiento, es demasiado rápido para iniciar y la instalación de programas ya no es un problema. Si quieres darle más vida útil a tu viejo PC, un disco duro de estado solido es una buena opción para ayudarle.

> 3 dayI needed another internal drive as my orchestral sample libraries were growing. This 2TB drive was perfect and didnt break the bank. It was a snap to install and is running smoothly. Only weird thing was that my BIOS saw the drive, and my disk manager in Windows saw the drive, but windows did not - so, a tweak in the Disk Manager and all was good.

Greater than one weekI have replaced the boot drive on all 5 of my computers. THe results are fantastic. One of my computers is an older but still powerful laptop, but the smaller hard drive on it and the older speed was starting to slow me down. I replaced the hard drive with this and it is like having a totally new state of the art laptop. And because my older laptop runs Windows 10 with no issues, this saved me the cost of needing to update a high powered laptaop.

22-11-2024I was thinking my i3 processor is the bottleneck, but when i saw everytime antivirus software runs the system is literally unusable and hard disc was hitting 100%. So decided to upgrade to SSD, i was under the impression SSD life span is lesser so was staying away from it for long time. But i regret that, after replacing it windows 10 loads up in a few seconds and no lagging to run any app at all!! I will keep my important data backed up to external drive and will keep busing SSD even if it fails.

24-11-2024Crucial has released these SSDs with faulty firmware. They have corrected the problem with an update, but their update utility does not work for drives delivered with the fault firmware. These drives will disconnect from many devices randomly, some within just a couple of minutes and others will go more than a year and then fail (as I experienced and had subsequently found from troubleshooting conversations with compute hardware and Crucial technicians). Either way, they will fail to connect to your system and must be replaced. I recently purchased a new 4TB MX500 SSD for a raid 10 application. Upon inserting and beginning the raid rebuild it disconnected and failed. After calls to the NAS supplier initially, being informed by them of the firmware problem which obviously they had experienced through other’s failures, I then reached out to Crucial themselves. I found the new drive I’d just received was delivered with the faulty firmware (mine had *45), and Crucial technician’s attempts to help update the drive to the needed *46 version also failed. Their special utility failed (Crucial Storage Executive), and the manual update process also failed. There was no method to update to the needed version of firmware. I had to send the drive back for a refund and have purchased a trustworthy Samsung SSD in its place. Unfortunately, until Crucial has all new drives delivered with the *46 firmware, which you can see on the back of the packaging but can’t confirm when buying on-line, it is a gamble as to how long the drive will actually last. Fair warning…

> 3 dayReplaced my 1 TB Toshiba hard drive in HP All in One Series 4 computer. Used Macrium Reflect to clone to new SSD drive and installed this SSD. Computer started up quickly and Nova Benchmark showed significant increase in drive speed. This shows up in opening programs, web pages, and start up time.
