I used this to replace the 2.5 1TB HD on a Dell Inspiron 24 3459 (AIO) running Windows 10. It was a simple install, mechanically, using the carrier & screws that held the original drive. The included thickness adapter was not needed. I installed an additional 8GB RAM (bringing total to 16GB) at the same time. The combination has provided a massive performance improvement with regard to boot & program load times.

This must work for most people - and maybe I just got a damaged drive, but windows cannot be installed on this without getting corrupted within a short time. I’ve seen quite a few people having the same issue, so I’m thinking there is some hardware/bios compatibility issue possibly going on. I wanted to try this brand instead of samsung for a change, but now I have to return it. My PC build is very small and only has room for a single ssd, and I need to be able to install the operating system on it. Samsung is not without it’s problems, but I’m not seeing many with the same issue with those drives. This will most likely work for you, but be warned if you plan on installing your os on it as there are potential problems. Do some research for your hardware.

I have used Crucial Solid State Drives for several years. They have always performed well and I have had zero failures on any of my drives. I always recommend Crucial SSDs and Memory sticks. People who have bought these drives based on my recommendation have been very happy with them as well.

Easy to install however, had issues right away with initializing the drive.

It was fairly easy to install in my desktop computer. It made my computer run like new again. Cloning my old drive was very simple using the software that Crucial supplies.
