No problems upgrading my HDD to this SSD. Comes with its own cloning software. Simply connect this SSD to your laptop (I used an enclosure), use the cloning SW, & then swap out your drive. It was so easy & brought my daughters 5 year old laptop back to life. Shes so happy w/the improved performance (without any additional RAM). It was so easy, Im ready to order another to upgrade my laptop.

Die MX500-Serie begleitet mich schon eine ganze Weile, angefangen mit einer 240GB Version über 1TB, 2TB, jetzt 4 TB. Letztere habe ich erst seit kurzem im Rechner, aber sie entspricht dem, was ich von MX500ern seit Jahren gewohnt bin. Die Dinger tun einfach, was sie sollen, schnell, zuverlässig, und zu einem günstigen Preis. Eine NVMe-SSD von Crucial kommt mir nach dem Fauxpas mit den P2-Modellen so schnell nicht mehr in den PC, aber die MX500 sind für mich weiterhin erste Wahl bei SATA SSDs. Kann ich vorbehaltlos empfehlen.

Boots extremely quick, writes extremely quick. Put a fresh copy of Windows 10 onto it but everything stutters, every video literally unwatchable

I have a little electronic skill, but not a bunch. I very easily dropped this into my old desktop. The Acronis software to clone the drive was very easy to use. The desktop easily tripled or quadrupled in speed. Not just booting, but also just in everyday tasks. My wife would like one for her laptop. Ill try that soon. Inexpensive and easy to do!

I have a Win10 PC and it was getting slow from all the disk I/O. The PC is only a few years old and built it with a high end CPU, motherboard and memory. I tried every tweek I could find but nothing really work. Once I replace the 1TB Western with this SSD the performance was simply incredible. I went from 5min boot time to about 1min. Any peace of hardware that can improve Windows has to get five stars. I used this SSD in a MAC also, worked flawlessly.
