Works good, easy to install however not easy to mate to the computer. I followed the directions perfectly but the cloning process is left for the professionals.

It took me some time to figure out how to replace the HDD for SSD drive but I got it figured out then noticed a marked improvement in the system speed overall. The laptop is i5 and is almost as fast as an i7 with 16gb and SSD. I would recommend this is you are comfortable pulling apart the laptop (HP) with hidden screws and credit card. It is fairly easy once you do it a few times.

Id buy from somewhere else. When I went to use this ssd I noticed it was opened. I am just past the return date so it looks like I am stuck. Do not want to be using used drives.

I used the software from the crucial website to clone my 2 1/2 drive in my laptop. It worked perfectly. I installed this SSD in the same socket I removed the old HDD from and the machine booted right up. It appeared to be at least 4 times faster than the old drive. Everything opens and closes much faster then before the upgrade. Just remember to initialize the new drive in disk management. You will need a SATA to USB cord or a SATA 2.5 enclosure if you want to clone. I bought the 1TB unit.

Il y a quatre déjà, javais effectué un Upgrade de la mémoire de 4Go à 8Go et remplacé le disque system de 500Go par un SSD 21/2 Crucial M500 de 960Go, le plus gros SSD disponible à lépoque. Le PC était devenu beaucoup plus performant et silencieux et surtout, il chauffait beaucoup moins.

This sata ssd with dram is a great upgrade for older systems where nvme slot is not available. Also makes for a cheap storage upgrade option compared to hdds.

Amazing Fast and Reliable Drive. Ive used several so far, it never let me down.

I have not tried this yet. It is a replacement for a drive I believe is failing and for testing purposes.
