Greater than one weekWe have a muddy well. These get the dirt out better than 20 micron string-wound filters, for some reason. They say not to use them on water that could potentially have bacterial contamination (some bacteria can eat the cellulose), but we havent had any problems in the several years since we switched. If you are using string-wound, give them a try and judge for yourself.

Greater than one weekWe switched to these from a 5 micron for our well. Them work great and last about a month. We have them on subscribe and save.

> 3 dayI used this twice for about a year thinking that this is compatible with GE GXWH35F housing. But now I dont think it is compatible. It is compatible in a sense that it fits inside the housing. However, when I closely look at the top, the size of the grove that makes seal against the housing water inlet side is quite different. That means the seal between clean and dirty water may not be tight. Also when I take the old one out, I see much sediments in clean water side, which I didnt used to see when I was using GE cartridges.

> 3 dayThis was a replacement for my reverse osmosis under-sink filter. It worked perfectly, fit well, and the water tastes great!

Greater than one weekI have a sever sediment problem. I am using a 3 filter system, 2 sediment and 1 Carbon filters. I was using 5 micron solid filters and having to change the first one every 5 days, moving the second filter to the first. I bought 4 of these in July and now change the first filter every 7 to 10 days wash it out and re-use it. This is the cheapest filter I have been able to find. I do have a well and have tested the water. The only problem with my water is it is very hard, nothing else. I may say not for well use but I have not had any trouble with these. A problem could arise if you have bacteria, rust or some other contaminate. I just ordered 10 more sets. If this filter gets new and improved or disappears I will at least have a years supply of filters before I have to deal with it.

> 3 dayThis filter works very well, for catching sediment the occurs naturally in spring and well water. Depending on the amount of sediment, in which I have little sediment and more iron the filter last about 3 months. That’s pretty good, you will get two filters in a pack for less then 9$, so that’s under 20$ a year for clean water, and bright whites.
