I cant say I noticed much difference in my water after replacing the 50 micron filter with this one because I dont have a big problem with sediment. But I am pleased that the flow rate in the house doesnt seem any different. Its been installed about 2 months now. I expect it wont last as long as the 50 version but if my water is cleaner then its worth it. UPDATE Sept. 17, 2010 I learned something the hard way -- CHANGE THE FILTER REGULARLY! I was waiting for the flow rate to go down as a sign to change this filter but it never decreased. Then a month or two ago I noticed the water starting to smell and it really got pretty bad. Im on a well so wasnt sure if it was the ground water changing but then thought of the filter. Oh my gosh, it was gross. Black & slimy & stinky and the paper had torn so the water was flowing right through with no filtering, hence no pressure loss. This was about 6 months use on a well (no chlorine) which was way way too long at it turned out. Id say the filter should be changed every 2 months.

Works well. Lasts longer than any other filter.

I have had this water filtration system for a few years but had trouble locally buying replacement filters. Decided to do a google search and found them the cheapest through Amazon with free shipping for orders over $25.00. Great deal and filters work fantastic. Love this whole house water filtration system and would highly recommend this product. Inexpensive to filter out some of the bad stuff found in city water.

I have a sever sediment problem. I am using a 3 filter system, 2 sediment and 1 Carbon filters. I was using 5 micron solid filters and having to change the first one every 5 days, moving the second filter to the first. I bought 4 of these in July and now change the first filter every 7 to 10 days wash it out and re-use it. This is the cheapest filter I have been able to find. I do have a well and have tested the water. The only problem with my water is it is very hard, nothing else. I may say not for well use but I have not had any trouble with these. A problem could arise if you have bacteria, rust or some other contaminate. I just ordered 10 more sets. If this filter gets new and improved or disappears I will at least have a years supply of filters before I have to deal with it.

Im pretty happy with these filters they work great. I set them up as a subscribe & save so every 3 months I get one in the mail automatically that way I never have to remember when to replace it. In the summer when I run the sprinklers and fill up the pool I switch it to bi-monthly. Our water here in the SW suburbs of Chicago is very hard the filter seems to take quite a bit of it out. The advantages that we can see are less mineral deposits in the dishwasher. I have also noticed that the filters in our RO water system came out allot cleaner this last time so maybe Ill experiment with letting them go a little longer. 1 YEAR UPDATE so Ive been using them for almost a year. And I must say im still very happy with their performance. The subscribe and save price has gone up by a dollar and change but doesnt bother me enough to find a different filter. I have had NO instances of my unit falling apart, tearing or disolving so these other folks must just have terrible water or be leaving them in WAY too long! Drained my water heater about two months ago and not too much sediment came out unlike in past years so they are definitly helping. (when I replace the filter its completely covered in rust deposits and I mean COMPLETELY covered. Its amazing what this thing is catching!) Im keeping the 5 stars they are pretty cheap and work well so all in all I think its a pretty good value.

I have been using these Culligan Water Filters for years, and I usually purchased them locally, where they go for about $10 for 2 filters. It was nice to find these online at Amazon for a cheaper price - $15 for 4 filters. It looks like you can save another 5% on Subscribe & Save on these water filters too. I purchased them for $15 because I needed one right away and didnt want to wait for my Subscribe & Save day. However I have already added another set to my Subscribe & Save now, as this is definitely the best price around. Also these filters are universal, and they work just fine in my GE Whole House Water Filter (and filter a lot of sediment out of our water)! I added a few photos because the packaging seems to have changed since the first time I purchased them...
