> 3 dayI used this twice for about a year thinking that this is compatible with GE GXWH35F housing. But now I dont think it is compatible. It is compatible in a sense that it fits inside the housing. However, when I closely look at the top, the size of the grove that makes seal against the housing water inlet side is quite different. That means the seal between clean and dirty water may not be tight. Also when I take the old one out, I see much sediments in clean water side, which I didnt used to see when I was using GE cartridges.

> 3 dayMy well is in an area with red clay soil and I have always had trouble with the toilet bowls turning a rust color soon after cleaning them. I tried several other filters, but none worked for long. These do work well and last for a few months. There are not nearly as many pleats in the filter as what is shown in the picture. The label says not recommended for use with untreated well water, which I was told was because there are certain bacteria that could be in the water that eat the paper and cause the filter to fail. I must not have them in my water, but I put a screen strainer in the line before it goes into the house just in case.

Greater than one weekI purchased this product in May 2013 to filter very fine sediments from my water well, which I use for my fogging system in the farm. At the same time, we use it also for our water consumption, so it is important to remove scale, silt and dirt. Because the fogging nozzles I am using are very sensitive to sediments that are bigger than 10 microns, I used the Culligan CP5-BBS Level 4 Heavy Duty Sediment Cartridge, enclosed in a Culligan HD-950A 1-Inch Outlet/Inlet Heavy Duty Sediment Water Filter Housing, because it filters up to 5 microns. Since then I never had problems with my fogging system. I am very impressed with the result. After 2 years of using it, I decided to write a review. While installing it 2 years ago, I was worried that this product would slow down the water flow rate, much lower than our desired 18-20 gallons per minute, which would then be detrimental to our fogging machine. But it turned out that this product has a high flow rate. Today, I am buying another 4 of this cartridge, good for another year of supply. I would definitely recommend this product together with the Culligan HD-950A water filter housing to anyone who is using a fogging system for greenhouse plants, and to anyone who has issues with the quality of their water.

> 3 dayWe have a muddy well. These get the dirt out better than 20 micron string-wound filters, for some reason. They say not to use them on water that could potentially have bacterial contamination (some bacteria can eat the cellulose), but we havent had any problems in the several years since we switched. If you are using string-wound, give them a try and judge for yourself.

> 3 dayI am running this filter after a water softener on a well. This filter filters out just about all sediment and my water is just about clear. There is still a little tint to it but a lot better than any of the other filters I have tried including the activated carbon filter. The main test will be how long this filter lasts. If I can get three months I will be happy.
