I have a well and it is high in iron. I have to change it every 30 days. I have tried the others and they only last a day ot two. The stores around here no longer carry them, therefore I am very happy I was able to order them with Amazon.

If you havent tested your well water for contaminants, or for microbiological unsafe elements/organisms, --- this filter isnt made to purify your water. So, if you are unsure about the purity of your well water, get your well water tested. If your well does not contain contaminants, or microbiological unsafe organisms, but does generate sediment and/or sand particles, --- this filter will trap the particles down to 20 microns.

We have a dug we’ll. Recently we noticed a brownish quality in our water pitchers. Switched to this product and we can see the difference in our crystal clear water. We’ve had one in for about three weeks: still working. Great value for the money.

Cleans up the water and catches the rust from the water

You do not get the ones pictured which I have used for over 15 years. the original ones lasted two months. the universal fit ones I got only last about two weeks and then they turn brown and start to disintegrate. They say Culligan but in my opinion they are after market items of inferior quality. I contacted Amazon and I was told they would check into it. They were on my subscribe and save list, but I dont believe I want to continue getting them. I am checking locally for this item. Update: I contacted Culligan today and spoke with a very nice man. He gave me valuable information regarding filter performance. I mentioned that the filters I received did not look like the one pictured that states made in USA. I forwarded photos of the ones I have and he said he would check Amazon reviews and forward the information to the appropriate party. The ones I got are made in China and said they were universal filters. They had the Culligan name on the package. I sincerely hope we get back the ones made in the USA.

These filters are the Culligan brand. They are the real thing Saved us a trip to the hardware store. Will buy again if needed.

Great product and price!!

I continuously buy these for our home filtration unit. We have private well water that has a ton of iron in it. Amazon has one of the best prices on this particular filter that Ive found and Im always very pleased with shipping and speed of arrival. Probably due to how much iron I have in my water but this filter never quite lasts as long as it is rated for. I usually change it about every 5-6 weeks when they are rated for around 12. I change it more frequently or I start to see very small amount of residue begin to build of in the toilet and shower heads. As long and they are changed to the month(ish) range Im really pleased with their performance and will continue buying and using them for my home.
