Greater than one weekThis walrus oil is great. It is not like runny oils I purchased before. I will use this from now on. My cutting board looks wonderful.

Greater than one weekI had some older kitchen knives, and related tools, with wood handles, that had not been treated well. They were dried out and rough, but not to the point of cracking (yet). I wanted to save them with a food safe product and chose the Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil to try. I sanded down the handles to 220 grit to smooth them, and applied the Walrus Oil with a rag. It soaked right in. I wiped off any excess after a few minutes. After letting them dry for 24 hours, I did this again, buffing the handles with a dry rag at the end. The instructions did not say that the second coat was necessary (limited instructions on the bottle and at the company website), but I wanted to do this. The handles immediately took on a dark, smooth finish, comparable to newer, well-cared for knives. Along with better care (no more dishwasher trips), the Walrus Oil helped me save several knives and kitchen tools. It was very easy to do.

Greater than one weekI really like this board oil. It doesn’t have a Sam and leaves my board looking nice and polished. I plan to do my wooden utensils next.

> 3 dayGot this to use on a new wooden cutting board in hopes to preserve it longer than the last one I had which warped and cracked despite my best efforts to keep it dry. Totally amazed at the quality and the difference using this oil made! Seemed to make a like waterproof shield layer on the whole thing! If you care about your wood, this is the stuff to use on it!

> 3 dayLove this stuff. I use Walrus Oil brand for everything that I make for kitchen use. I use it on cutting boards, cheese slicer boards and rocking pizza cutters. So much better than plain old mineral oil. I have a bottle of name brand that has been sitting on the shelf for years. I guess that I am keeping it for backup but seem to always have Walrus Oil on hand and never use it. i also use Walrus Oil cutting board wax. I also use Walrus Oil furniture oil I most everything else that I make from wine displays, bottle stoppers, custom hunting knife handles to a trestle table that I made.
