> 3 dayI made 5 charcuterie boards for a pre wedding Meet and Greet the family event and used walnut boards I had stored for 20+ years in my attic. The Walrus Oil did what I wanted and was easy to use, It brought the color out and looked great sealed the wood well so it washed off food particles and looks clean and ready for another party. I got lots of compliments and I will use it again on some projects!!

> 3 dayThe product was super easy to use. I applied it a couple times before wiping off the majority of the oil. You can tell when the oil is being absorbed into the wood and where to apply more. I left on for 24 hours and it wiped off very easy. Be sure to sand and prep your surface before applying.

> 3 dayI decided to take on the challenge of building a cutting board from scratch for my lovely wife. I watched many videos on how to properly seal and give longevity to the well manicured butcher block. A friend of mine suggested, “try walrus oil”. This sounded highly illegal and inhumane. In the southeastern region of the United States, this particular mammal is considered ultra rare, however, squirrels are plentiful. I hunted early in the morning and captured a dray of squirrels. I don’t believe in waste so I cleaned them and made biscuits and gravy from my great grandmothers recipe book. I rendered the fat to a fine oil. 12 squirrels provided enough to coat one board and feed my family of 2. Because I am a cutting board novice, I didn’t think it through and the blood soaked butcher block was resisting the squirrel oil. I resanded the boards and after noticing google had monitored my search history an add for this product appeared. I was shocked walrus oil was bottled and sold. I read the contents and this actually contains zero walrus material. Relieved, but feeling duped, I ordered a bottle. It went on with ease and gave the boards a perfect shine. Animal lovers like me, have no fear, this product is not what you think! It’s better!

> 3 dayI have a Chicago Cutlery chefs knife that I bought in 1996. It has a two piece riveted wooden handle. At the time I bought it, it was a robust, dark-natural color. Over the years, the handle became lifeless and pretty much ghost-white as the wood handle dried up. I was thinking about trying to replenish it with one of the food unsafe oils---and while I imagine that would have worked great, I still thought it would be prudent for a food knife to use a food-safe product. So anyway, I bought this oil, definitely safe for food-related wood. It seems to have more or less worked. I was hoping to be wowed by a return to that original deeper color, but we only got about half of the way there. Definitely better, and Im basically satisfied that the handle got what it needed, but Im not quite as impressed as I wanted to be. But it looks fine, the handle is not sticky after doing a couple applications, feels moisturized and the knife is back in business. So Im giving it 4 stars, but I want to stress, it is possible I have no idea what Im talking about, and maybe this is a fantastic result for a knife of this age washed a million times in the dishwasher. I just dont know, Im not a knife guy.

Greater than one weekI was told of this product by a man who has a woodshop. Used it on my Acacia Butcherblock and Wow. So much better then big store products offered. Great results and food grade safe. Worth every penny spent. Will buy more.

Greater than one weekI wish I had taken before and after photos. This oil added a lot of hydration to my new cutting boards and brought out the contrast in the wood grain. I’m very impressed.

> 3 dayI bought this to use on a new bamboo tofu press. After I was done spreading the oil on the press, I decided to use the rag on my teak armoire. It looks amazing! I then used the same rag on several other wood furniture items. Unfortunately, I did not take any before photos, so after photos wont mean much, but everything looks beautiful. I think the oil will end up being very economical because that same rag can probably be used again and again if stored properly. I highly recommend; also made in the USA!
