> 24 hourI like the three-way adjustments (height, tilt and pivot); the clear but non-glare matte screen; the three USB2 ports, and the high resolution compared to 1680x1050 monitors. It came with a VGA and an HDMI cable, and the USB2 master cable. In fact, there is nothing to complain of except that this is not a 22 monitor. It is 21.5 diagonal, meaning that instead of 11.75 display height you get 10.5. The difference is very noticeable. Still, because of its good points, I would probably buy it again.

> 24 hourI love the ability to view web pages and spread sheets in portrait view. Email is also much quicker to navigate when you can see much more in one view. I use it as a second monitor for a mac book air at work. I didnt have any of the problems others have reported with viewing in portrait mode. I also found a great apple script to use with a hot key via an app named shortcuts to rotate the monitor with lightening speed. With out that it would be quite cumbersome to switch it back in forth.

> 24 hourLOVE IT! I have vision problems and my big concern was that the native resolution on a larger monitor would be too high for me to see, but this is perfect. The screen is super bright, the colors are great. I still have one of my little 19 square monitors next to it and it looks so dim now.

> 24 hourI got this to replace a different monitor in a dual-screen setup, and to match the other Dell Pro 24 monitor I already have. I thought the one from two years ago was impressive, but this one is even nicer. I especially like the changes made to the cabling and other appearance from the rear of the monitor. The valence panel makes a big difference, as well as moving the USB port(s). At first, I was not sure if I liked that Dell took away the power feed and mounts for a speaker bar, but it is something else that gives the monitor a nicer look. The bezel surround is about the same width as the older one, which also surprised me. These are the type of monitors that are used for multiples quite often, and the bezel is the same width all around, but I would have figured that Dell would reduce this for those of us that use multiples. Performance and overall look of the screen is outstanding. The pixels are tight and accurate, and the monitor handles movement very well. The addition of the Display Port in lieu of HDMI is highly appropriate for this type of monitor, given its intended use. Im SO GLAD to finally ditch at least one of my DVI-D cablings in favor of the Display Port. Regardless, its good to see the VGA and DVI-D interfaces are still there if needed. My only real want or suggestion for the P2414H would be nice to have an external HDMI port available (or mini-DP at the least) for a portable device. My wireless phone will port to HDMI, and it would be a great simple solution rather than keeping an HDMI --> DVI-D adapter plugged into the DVI-D port. Maybe thats incorporated into a newer version already, but I was able to keep costs down with this particular model. .

> 24 hourI bought three of these for a multi-monitor setup with my early 2013 Macbook Pro Retina 15, and it works beautifully. For those interested, I believe you need the higher end MBPr models that come equipped with discreet (internal) Nvidia graphics card, so you may have issues with the 13 or non-Retina models. My setup was: 1 HDMI to DisplayPort and 2 Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Details matter: most 2013+ era MacBook Pros use Mini DisplayPort connections (e.g. Thunderbolt) on the notebook (*not* full size DisplayPort). I opted for 6 Better Cables brand cables purchased from Amazon, but you could also use: 1 HDMI to DVI-D single link (not dual link, and not plain DVI) and: 2 Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt compatible) to DisplayPort (not Mini) If you have a Thunderbolt hub, youll need a MB with 2 Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt connections, because hubs will take one of your Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt plugs and you cant use both the hub HDMI and hub MDP/TB plugs simultaneously. Lastly, do your testing with the Macbook Pros lid opened and plugged in. Reboot at least once before futzing with sleep mode, as this can cause weirdness (especially if youve got USB keyboard/mouse plugged into a hub -- they might not wake up).

> 24 hourI like the portrait and landscape orientation possible. And the stand. It can be adjusted quite high up if desired and easily. Its spring loaded so you just slide it up or down to your desired height. The colors are very good. This is replacing an HP 23xi which has great color, but burned out after 2 years. I hope this one lasts longer. Using it for photo editing and general purpose things. Mine came with 4 cords: HDMI, VGA, DVI, Power cord. Nice. Im currently using it with the DVI connector and alls well.

> 24 hourI run a three-monitor setup at home, all Samsung 206BW (16:10) displays from a few years ago. When one failed, I set out to replace it with a 1080p display and settled on this Dell. In short, this has turned out to be a fantastic display with very good clarity, very even backlighting and excellent color reproduction (owing to its IPS panel, vs. the TN panels in my old Samsungs). I was a little concerned about the response time as I also play games, but I notice no ghosting or lag at all during gameplay. Do note, however, that Im not into twitch games or fighting games where ultra-low lag would be most important. Its worth mentioning to others considering a purchase that text looked absolutely horrendous on this Dell right out of the box, which is unusual in my experience. It turns out that this was due to the monitors Image Enhance feature which comes turned on by default. Turn this feature off immediately, then calibrate both color and ClearType text (if on Windows) and you should have an excellent picture.

> 24 hourThe product (monitor) was fine, was delivered even earlier than expected, but it just wasnt a fit for my system. Great company to buy from and I will order again. Thanks Mike!

> 24 hourIve been using three of these for a few months now and Im very happy with them. I mostly use them for programming and gaming. They look great and I love being able to change their orientation easily. Portrait orientation is great for reading long documents or looking at source code, and the tilt and height adjustment is helpful to keep them in a comfortable position. I can easily view 3-5 source code files side by side on each of them. I mostly play Counter Strike and have not noticed any input lag, and Im pretty picky about that. There is no splash screen when you turn the monitors on. I like how configurable the monitor settings are. For example, you can make the power LED stay off while the monitor is on. I think smaller monitors (maybe 21 or 22 inch) might work better for a triple monitor setup because you wouldnt have to turn your head as much and they would take up less desk space, but these are great if you have a big desk. I have not been able to drive any of these monitors over VGA (I tried all 3 of the cables that came with them). The screen flickers and looks really bad. VGA isnt really meant to drive resolutions this high though, and it isnt a problem for me.

> 24 hourI used this monitor mainly as a secondary monitor. Easy to assemble. (I was able to do it with one hand.) Tilt and rotate are also easy. If you rotate it 90 degrees, be sure to switch the orientation under Windowss display settings. (I am familiar with manipulating Windows settings, but I noticed the monitor did not come with instructions on how to perform this action.) Text is more clearer than my Toshiba 24 1080p TV (model 24SL410U). Since the response time was only 8 ms, I was expecting some ghosting while playing games (Skyrim, Far Cry 4, etc.) . However, I never experienced any ghosting. The only thing I would improve on this monitor is to move the USB port on the back to either side of the monitor.
