> 3 dayMonitor has AMAZING color & vibrance with very little light bleeding. MONITOR CAN BE OVERCLOCKED ABOUT 20HZ OVER THE STANDARD. This may not be so for every monitor, but with an Nvidia video card I overclocked it to about 72Hz. Very Happy with all Dell monitors, great value for the price. Buttons are nice, not clunky and power button has a nice LED so you can turn on monitor in with no lights on. Turned it on and off about 20 times a day for years so it is VERY DURABLE.

> 3 dayAt first I bought this monitor just as a temporary monitor until I buy a legit, bigger monitor because I was planning on using dual monitors and use this one as a sub monitor since it can pivot and rotate 180. A month after I got this DELL monitor I bought BENQ gaming monitor. As I planned, I started using BENQ as a main and this one as a sub (rotated). However, while I was playing bunch of 3D steam games, (resident evil 6, witcher 3 etc) I realized that this DELL monitor was the real bad-ass. Of course BENQs bigger, but the color is just not as good as that of DELLs. Ive been using the standard stock setting for my DELL monitor and the clearness, sharpness and color temperature blah blah (I dont know much about this color related jargon so Imma just skip) are JUST SOOOOOOOO Amazing and WAAAAAy better. I have tried every single options for the BenQ monitor (Hue Temp Contrast Saturation bla bla whateva) but It never had same amazing feeling as Dells heavenly screen. I dont even know how to put this but its like watching DELLs monitor is like looking at a nicely cut chocolate squares while watching other monitors are like watching the same thing but all melted and squashed.. I mean this monitor is not even ULTRA SHARP model yet it has the best screen quality and color I have ever experienced. Bottom line, I ended up using this as a main monitor and the bigger gaming monitor as a sub monitor on the side.. cause I would rather play games with smaller screen with better quality than bigger, less fine quality. So I guess that pretty much explains how freakin awesome this monitor is. It was on sale and I got this for $159, and I think this monitor worth way more than that. I would even pay $300 for this monitor if I break mine and have to buy again (and if the price went up). Dont hesitate and just buy this. U WONT REGRET!

> 3 dayThe primary reason I bought this product was because I wanted a secondary monitor to compliment my laptop workspace and to increase my productivity due to limited desk space. I have a variety of uses for the vertical monitor. Among which programming, writing papers, and reading articles online. If you’re looking for a monitor that can change between horizontal and vertical views then you’re looking in the right place. Design & Construction Ive found the design of the monitor and the stand itself to be extremely well built. The construction and material quality are simply exquisite. The rotatable mount is good but leaves something to be desired. While the monitor will seamlessly rotate, it does take some effort and it only rotates towards one side. Of course, this is easily solved by mounting the monitor differently but that goes against the entire point of having a swivel mount. Moving the monitor vertically is also very smooth, however, Ive found that rotating the monitor base is more difficult than I think it should be. While the sheer weight of the monitor and stand do a good job of keeping the unit in place, the lack of rubber feet makes the stand slide around when youre wanting to do any sort of rotation. Pros • Lovely aluminum feel seemingly rivaled only by Apples • Construction feels solid, as if it will last for many years • Smooth action when moving the monitor vertically Cons • Weight of the product makes it harder to turn on its base • Lack of rubber feet make adjustments an extra unnecessary hassle Monitor The monitor itself is gorgeous. The colors, albeit less flattering than those of a higher resolution monitor, are simply excellent. The usage of IPS technology in the panel makes everything easier to read without me having to turn the screen if I need to show something off. However, I’ve noticed that, without scaling the monitor to more than 100%, text is hard to read at times. It’s dependant on the type and coloring of the font. It seems to appear more on pages where the letters are more the same shade as the background or when there’s a large quantity of text on screen. However, take this with a grain of salt since I’ve primarily been using a single laptop screen for the last few months. I can’t comment on the gaming side of things but I can offer clarity from past experience. The Grey To Grey (GTG) response time of 8ms isn’t anything to be worried about if you’re doing anything other than high-intensity or quick-reaction gaming. However, if you are looking for a high-intensity gaming monitor, I suggest you look elsewhere since any time above 5ms will typically harm your experience. Pros • The usage of IPS in the monitor is well worth the price • The sheer amount of more screen-space you get is astounding Cons • Hard to read text, depending on the size and color of the font and the background coloring. • 8ms response time, only if you’re looking for a high-speed gaming monitor As a whole, I’m happy with my experience. I rate this product as a 4 out of 5 stars. The use of IPS technology, exquisite feeling from the material and design, the size and increased workspace is a welcome change. Unfortunately, due to the weight, lack of footpads, and hard to read text I must remove a star. Additionally, during shipment, a corner of the stand was slightly cracked from being dropped or crushed. Don’t be alarmed because the packaging itself is more than sufficient to protect your brand new monitor. A large monitor, an increased workspace, and a lovely addition to your desk make this a must-buy.

> 3 dayThis is a great monitor for office use and watching videos. The colors are bold, and the IPS panel is a great improvement from standard LCDs. The height adjustment is particularly useful. All adjustments feel solid and the monitor construction is attractive and high quality. There are no dead pixels or crosshatching. Includes DisplayPort and VGA cables. Includes USB cable for the two port USB 3.0 hub on the monitor. If you need a DVI cable or a miniDisplayPort to DisplayPort cable, buy it separately.

> 3 dayI have several of these Dell ultra sharp IPS monitors and I love them. I especially love the fact that it has an eight way mount and is height adjustable. Monitor has great viewing angles and excellent color reproduction. The monitor is not quite calibrated for professional photos, however Im not doing professional print work so the exact color profiles are irrelevant to me. Probably one of the better values in monitors.

> 3 dayI like the portrait and landscape orientation possible. And the stand. It can be adjusted quite high up if desired and easily. Its spring loaded so you just slide it up or down to your desired height. The colors are very good. This is replacing an HP 23xi which has great color, but burned out after 2 years. I hope this one lasts longer. Using it for photo editing and general purpose things. Mine came with 4 cords: HDMI, VGA, DVI, Power cord. Nice. Im currently using it with the DVI connector and alls well.

> 3 dayI spent the last month studying monitors in the 23-24 range and finally settled on this unit, as I have good luck with Dell monitors. My primary use is home applications and gaming (Crysis, Sins of a Solar Empire, Star Craft, etc...). Out of the box it came nearly completely calibrated...only very minor updates made. Nice clean look and terrific flexibility in the stand (tilt, height, swivel, horizontal to vertical). Also considered the mid-range of Asus, HP, Dell, and BenQ.

> 3 dayIve had the monitor for about 2 months now. Picture quality is very good and makes this monitor a bargain. The settings are intuitive and easy to use. The only minor downside is there is not HDMI, but the picture quality is still excellent and crispy. If the monitor still works 2 years from now I will give it 5 stars.

> 3 dayI used this monitor mainly as a secondary monitor. Easy to assemble. (I was able to do it with one hand.) Tilt and rotate are also easy. If you rotate it 90 degrees, be sure to switch the orientation under Windowss display settings. (I am familiar with manipulating Windows settings, but I noticed the monitor did not come with instructions on how to perform this action.) Text is more clearer than my Toshiba 24 1080p TV (model 24SL410U). Since the response time was only 8 ms, I was expecting some ghosting while playing games (Skyrim, Far Cry 4, etc.) . However, I never experienced any ghosting. The only thing I would improve on this monitor is to move the USB port on the back to either side of the monitor.

> 3 dayIve been using three of these for a few months now and Im very happy with them. I mostly use them for programming and gaming. They look great and I love being able to change their orientation easily. Portrait orientation is great for reading long documents or looking at source code, and the tilt and height adjustment is helpful to keep them in a comfortable position. I can easily view 3-5 source code files side by side on each of them. I mostly play Counter Strike and have not noticed any input lag, and Im pretty picky about that. There is no splash screen when you turn the monitors on. I like how configurable the monitor settings are. For example, you can make the power LED stay off while the monitor is on. I think smaller monitors (maybe 21 or 22 inch) might work better for a triple monitor setup because you wouldnt have to turn your head as much and they would take up less desk space, but these are great if you have a big desk. I have not been able to drive any of these monitors over VGA (I tried all 3 of the cables that came with them). The screen flickers and looks really bad. VGA isnt really meant to drive resolutions this high though, and it isnt a problem for me.
