I adore these pencils! They are rich, and creamy. The lead glides on the paper; effortlessly layering and blending with ease. If you have carpel tunnel or arthritis these are the pencils for you. The full set of 24 all work harmoniously together. The color palette was well chosen. You can choose any three colors with your eyes closed and the colors you choose will look wonderful together. If this set were to be expanded I would definitely add this additional set to my current one. I wasnt really sure of what they were about until one of my favorite colorists (coloring with Alena) started using them. I felt the price was good for a 24 set, and I will be purchasing a backup set. This is not a set you want to be without. Take a chance on them as I did and be pleasantly surprised!

Very smooth and looks great on paper. Lots of pigment. Favorite colors are the sanguine and terracotta. They are nice for portraits sketches.

These are interesting pencils. Theyre very thick, and very soft, to the point of being a bit crumbly. They come in a limited palette thats very useful for animals, landscapes and portraits. I had to take a star off because one of my pencils arrived irreparably broken. I didnt use them for several months after purchasing them, so it was too late to return them. They do come in open stock so I was able to replace it, which is definitely a plus. Im not an artist, I color, so Im sure I could do a lot more with the pencils, if I was an artist, but if you want to get a set of pencils to supplement your collection, then I think these are great. Theyre probably too subtle to be your primary coloring pencils. Im adding a picture I colored with the pencils. I only used about 6 of the colors, but this gives you an idea of the range.

These have to be one of my new favorite colored pencils ever. Ive been a colored pencil artist for over 30 years, I even still have a few of my 1980s Berol/prismacolor out of print colored pencils. I use A lot of different brands from Caran DAche to Schpirerr Farben & Castle Art on the lower range pencils. I have several Derwent colored pencils & when I saw the muted tones of these drawing pencils I had to try them & I fell in love instantly! First, they are the typical Derwent pencil with the thick lead & nice heafty round barrel. They go on so smoothly & they are a soft lead. You can get beautiful blends with these pencils & the Chinese white that comes in this set is the best white I have ever used! I love this white! I even bought the small 5 piece set just to get an extra white! The colors will compliment any of the other Derwent sets & any other set for that matter. Ive used them with my Prismas, Castle Arts, Caran DAche, Black Widows & Polychromos & they worked great with all of them!

I love how creamy these pencils are. Theyre fun to draw with! I was surprised to discover I can even erase the majority of the markings.

They blend really well and vibrant. Almost... almost... comparable to Caran Dache Luminance, I wish they came in a bigger set. These are way more superb than Derwent Coloursoft. They maybe more crumbly, but I can live with it.

These are amazing pencils, but limited by the fact that there are only 24 colors. They are among the most lightfast pencils that Derwent makes - very pigmented and they blend wonderfully. You can find them for $30 or a bit less if you look hard at the right time of year (like now!). They are probably one of the best values in colored pencil sets in terms of quality. Highly recommended!

Haven’t checked product itself yet apart from making sure no pencils were broken, but the tin was severely damaged (see pics). I use these tins to hold watercolor paint so this was extremely disappointing.
