Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

I always suffered from short vacuum this one is good length

Hands down the best vacuum I’ve ever used. I like to turn off all the lights in the house and use the laser to make sure the house is completely spotless! Battery life is better than any shark I’ve used.

I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and I’ve been looking for a solution to picking up hair and litter on hardwood floor. I’ve had versions from almost every other brand out there, and always had to go behind with a broom. The Dyson with the slim head gets it up 100%. You can see everything with the green lazer so you would know if it missed anything. The extra attachments make it where I can clean from floor to ceiling in one go. I wish I had just bit the bullet and spent a little extra years ago, but I’ll never use anything other than Dyson going forward.

The vacuum itself is awesome. It gets up a LOT of dirt, dust, and (our worst problem) pet hair. The laser is amazing on hardwood floors as it just lights up the surface area and shows you things you may have missed and makes it easier to see progress. The only complaint I have is the battery life. Even if you run it on the Eco setting (which is the best setting for battery life) the battery dies SO FAST. My wife used it on the medium setting yesterday and it ran maybe 30 min. Today running it on Eco, after using it for about 10 min the timer said it had 30 min left. 40 min on the setting that’s supposed to run for 60 min after a full charge is ridiculous. Dyson needs to upgrade their batteries for a longer use. If you live in anything larger than a one-bedroom apartment you’re going to have to charge it multiple times just to vacuum your entire house once. In summation: the product is awesome, but the battery SUCKS. (no pun intended)

Love the green laser on the hard floor head. It makes it so much easier to clean but also lets you know how dirty your floors really are. Great product

Dyson should be ashamed

The vacuum works well. I particularly like the laser light. I can’t believe how much dirt I missed without the light. Too bad the light doesn’t work with the carpeting attachment. It’s only good on wooden floors of a relatively dark color. My big complaint is that they do not give you a printed color manual. Yes you can go online if you have a printer and print off a manual. But of course the manual unless you have a color printer would be in black-and-white. My old Dyson V6 manual came with the considerably less expensive vacuum and it’s in color, which makes it so much easier to use. My V6 still works fine. But I decided I would use that in my three season room to vacuum up spiderwebs and occasional mouse droppings. But I did not want to use it in the house after that. So, I called customer service to see if they could mail me a manual. I was very disappointed when they said no. It’s enough I bought a new vacuum, I’m not buying a a color printer. My point is I think Verizon Customer Service is awful.

Compared to my old V8, this is flat out amazing. I cant believe how much they have improved what was already an outstanding product.

Ive owned 4 dysons now going back about 15+ years. The last one was the big heavy ball version that lasted at least 5 years until my wife got a crazy thick area rug that ended up burning out the head gears. My daughter wanted this one because of the laser head. Dumb, but I got it grudgingly and Im amazed how this much lighter and easier to use model is even better then the older but much larger version. Yes, you ended up emptying the container quicker but its a piece of cake to use compared to the older version. The extra $200 is well worth it. Im surprisingly very impressed. The laser head one is fine but we have several dogs so its not ideal at all. The regular head is awesome.

The super soft pads dont scratch my wood floors like other vacuums claim not to, but in fact scratch the heck out of your floors
