Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

Love the green laser on the hard floor head. It makes it so much easier to clean but also lets you know how dirty your floors really are. Great product

This vacuum has a power button, unlike the V15, so theres no need to hold down the trigger. However, the grip puts a lot of weight on the thumb knuckle. After 15 minutes, it starts to chafe. The grip has a second support forming a box with the battery underneath, but the 2nd support is not shaped to be gripped, so the vacuum could only be wielded one-handed comfortably. Its lighter than the V15, but its not that light. The dustbin is large enough as it does a good job of packing dust, and the bin is easy to empty. The laser is very useful for spotting dust, especially with the lights off. The battery life when new is about 30 minutes in medium power. Dyson needs to put soft-touch material near where the hand meets the cylinder to make this more comfortable to use. All of the accessories are made of plastic except for the extension tube. The hard floor roller is the only tool with the laser. The roller head tends to collect dust at certain places and needs to be vacuumed itself after vacuuming the floor. The other accessories are unremarkable. I wish the laser is detachable so it could be affixed to the other pieces. The laser and the piezoelectric sensor that throttles the motor speed are the only two innovations that are unique. It is otherwise a good but unremarkable vacuum. The V15 is marketed as the machine for larger houses, but I cant imagine one-hand wielding that vacuum for 30 minutes. Even the V12 is uncomfortable to use after 15 minutes.

This vacuum is a game changer. I have a large house and work form home. Vacuuming is one of my least favorite things to do. This lightweight battery operated vacuum makes it convenient to clean up quickly. Batter life is great. The cannister is not large but easy to empty. I would definitely recommend it.

I didn’t like that the dust is sucked up past the bin into the filter. Also it does not distribute evenly!

Akku just doesnt last long at all other than that fine but thinking about returning

I read a lot of reviews before buying the Dyson V-12 Slim; and I watched a lot of reviewers videos comparing the top brands. The price point was higher than on any other vacuum weve owned but I was truly ready to pay what was necessary to buy the best for what I was looking for: Lightweight, cordless, powerful suction, ease of cleaning/use/storage, and high user ratings. After using this machine now for a few weeks I can honestly say the price was so worth it. I love this machine. I love going cordless. I love the compact storage solution with the dock. I love that it picks up cat hair like nobodys business. I love that its only about 5 lbs compared to our 14-lb Shark Navigator with a cord. It is so easy for me to just whip out the Dyson -- hand-held or full stick -- and do some simple clean up where before, with the Shark, Id dread hauling out the heavy machine, finding a plug, worrying about whether Id have enough cord length to finish the job, etc. None of that matters anymore. Plus I was able to sell our Shark to help defray some of the cost for the Dyson. Im sold on this cordless dynamo. Im not kidding: It is a life-changing machine!

I think this vacuum is smarter than me! It shows me every piece of dirt/lint. It shows me when and how to clean the filter, step by step. It tells me when the canister is full and to empty it. Its lightweight and maneuvers easily. The LED light is the best, I do most of the vacuuming before the sun is up so I dont miss anything...love it!

it is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use, easy to charge and just great.
