> 3 dayWeve had this projector for about 4 months. I can definitely say that I am so happy I decided on the Epson 3200. I mounted it on the ceiling about 11 ft from the wall. The picture is about 12 ft diagonal, and it looks amazing. The colors are beautiful, the image is bright even with lights/windows. We use this projector many hours per week for 4k gaming at 60fps. Wow, I cant imagine a better gaming experience. Watching movies is awesome too. Its like having a movie theater in our house. I have the audio connected to a bluetooth speaker, which works fine. My only small complaint is that the focus isnt perfect. For games that have small text on the top and bottom of the screen, I cant seem to get both in exact focus. I have to focus either the top or bottom, and the other one will be just a little blurry. Its such a small nitpick though, its really fine and its barely noticeable from viewing distance. While shopping, I remember debating buying this versus the Optima. I guess Ill never know what that one would have been like, but I have no regrets. I cant imagine it would have nailed everything as perfectly as this one did. I would buy another Epson next time definitely. If youre thinking about buying one, do it.

> 3 dayPicture was decent. It was pretty bright but I spent a week’s worth of time trying to get audio connected. I tried Bluetooth to my Visio sound bar/surround sound system and when that didn’t work I tried HDMI, I tried 3.5mm audio cables, I tried optical I tried adapters to all three of those audio options and still.....NO AUDIO! Through the process of elimination I determined that it was the projector itself that had to be the issue. I bought the same exact model directly from Best Buy and connected the audio through the Bluetooth in 2 seconds. The cheaper price from this 3rd party seller I believe is the problem... Best Buy explained that’s why they don’t price match with certain companies or sellers because it may look like the same model but it may not include one or two features and that how they sell it for less...makes sense after all the hassle I went through!

> 3 dayMy TV is LG OLED and old projector is Optoma HD39Darbee. After I purchased OLED tv, I could not watch Optoma 1080p projector anymore. Enter Epson 3800. Now I do have a choice, I like both options, depending on the mood. What is interesting is that Epson3800s info section says it is 4K resolution projector. I tried ``True 4K Optoma Uhd38 and its info section says it is 1080p. HD39Darbee is actually better UHD38 in color and the resolution perception for me. But Epson 3800 is a principally refinement and is a clear motivation for me to move into the 4K area of projectors. The colors are outstanding, the resolution is excellent for me, not annoying, it definitely provides a 3D feeling to the 4K HDR picture. The setup is OK, a lot of lens shifting. So, if someone wants to move into the 4K area of projectors, Epson 3800 is my first recommendation (if not to look into $5000+ area).

> 3 dayWanted to start out with the unboxing, this is a solid unit in which you need a quality ceiling mount (Id recommend a professional if you arent that handy). Now this has your basic setup steps to go through as soon as you turn the unit on but I would recommend doing some research and reading on this unit as there is so much more advanced tweaking you can do. I made some presets and am able to change setting based on room brightness, screen aspect ratio, etc. You have a couple HDMI slots, USB plugs, Mini USB, Audio, etc so should be all you need to hook up any devices you need. The picture with 4k is so clear and crisp, the details just jump out at you and if you pay attention it is almost like you are looking our your window or outside it is just that real. My kids love it as it makes it seem like every night is a movie theater night and we no longer have a bulky tv setup to look at. Wanting to get a retractable screen for it to make our setup look a lot cleaner but currently just have a regular screen. Also, I hooked up with our wireless surround sound effortlessly, there was no sound delay and to me it was a hassle free experience. I have had other TV setups that were a lot more challenging but this was easy. Cant say enough good things about this unit, just really makes the family movie experience that much more delightful! Would highly recommend!

> 3 dayWe upgraded to this project. The color and picture and brightness is so much nicer, you get what you pay for and this is a very nice projector. The remote controls other items to play videos which is another nice feature.

> 3 dayI mostly watch movies, youtube. I had a optoma hd28darbee that was great for games and pretty good for movies and then it failed. I tried one of the optoma laser projectors hz39hdr and the color was horrible way washed out. I looked out of the box and noticed just how good the picture was on the Epson 3800…. WOW incredible color, and detail. In fact it has the best image I have ever seen period!! Only drawbacks when switching inputs it can be slow and buggy so make sure if using a receiver with 4k hdmi switching, you have all the firmware updates done. Also games did look a bit better (sharper) with optoma however with some adjustments and just how good it looks with uhd4k movies I will except that. I mean it looks so good I stayed up to 2am just watching uhd4k content on youtube etc, amazing !!! Buy it you will love it!!!

> 3 dayWe installed this in a new media room weve built, and it has exceeded all our expectations. The picture quality is outstanding, far better than I expected even from a projector that touts 4K resolution. The bulb is also nice and bright, and the picture is easily visible even with the theater lighting turned all the way up in the room. We easily integrated the projector into a surround sound system, as well as a multiport HDMI switch to allow easy changes, and there were no issues at all from the Epson with handling the inputs/outputs. The projector was a little interesting to get mounted and aimed. Our mounting position was slightly off center, with a relatively short throw of 16 for a 110 screen. The on projector dials, and the digital controls were not wholly intuitive, so it took about an hour to get the screen dialed in where the image was crisp and properly square. We hit the adjustment limit a couple times as well, so it took some repeated adjustments in several places to get it there. That said, once it was set, its been two months and its been rock solid without any issues.
