Epson Home Cinema 3200 4K PRO-UHD 3-Chip Projector with HDR

Great projector. Works very well with an awesome picture. Mounting holes are non-standard so was a little difficult finding a mount that would work with it. Everything else with it is great.

This is a 4K projector from Epson that is meant to play games, films, and sports/regular TV. Lets get right to it: [Setup] In general, easy and quick here. Its a turn on and go type of setup. However, if you want to get really in depth with the settings, it is *definitely* there should you want to. Were talking the ability to adjust *any* aspect of the picture (brightness, saturation, color, white balance, sharpness, etc etc). However, I played with the settings just a little (mostly to turn all the enhancements off) and found it just peachy. There are adjust picture controls inside the menu and on the projector. I was able to get the geometry to perfectly match up (at least to my eyes) to a rectangle. Lens shift details are: Vertical: -60.0% to +60.0% (H center) Horizontal: -24.0% to +24.0% (V center) Inputs are: 2x HDMI® 2.0 (18 Gbps) HDCP 2.2 1x USB Type A 2.0 A power supply (for streaming devices) 1x USB (for wireless accessory and firmware updates) 1x Mini USB (service only) 1x Audio out mini plug (3.5 mm) [Picture Quality] Its superb as far as projectors go. You dont really know what youre missing, until you see the difference. I can say that even with a $100 projector, that its clear enough to watch a movie. With a $500 projector, I can say its very clear -- and even looks quite good. With this 4k projector, it starts to change from yea, this is a good projector picture to competing, and succeeding your LED TV. The real strength here is with color and crispness. Its *better* than a digital cinema, for example. It rivals LED TVs (succeeds a lot of them in my opinion). However, as others have mentioned, the black levels are diluted and muggy. Eh, not much else to say with that -- but the black levels are mediocre. You wont notice it unless youre really looking, but its similar to a theatre experience. The 4K picture, though, with 4K content -- just, wow. I just cant get enthusiastic about going to the theatre anymore, due to the fact I have a better theatre experience in my own home (with the exception of not having other patrons me, mind you). The color gamut on this gets to 100%, whereas many TVs only go to 60% of the color output. The picture, needless to say, is superb. [Misc] Bluetooth audio -- yes, it works with bluetooth surround sound. Works very well. Lumens (very good for this price) at 2900. You can have even modest ambient light, and get a perfectly well formed, and rich picture. Its a big projector) [Closing] This is a 4k premium projector that has a lamp life that last a very long time, and gives you a picture that exceeds almost all projectors sub $1.5k Is it worth it to spend more? Absolutely -- if youre going for a true cinema replacement experience (and a full on gaming experience). Excellent 4k projector

I paid for new...It would be nice getting NEW.

I love this projector. It was easy to setup and is quiet. It’s a projector so you can hear the fan, but one of my couches is right below it, and I can only really hear it during the real quiet scenes. I replaced an older Epson projector with this one and am happy.

Even with some light this projector still shines so bright

Easy setup, quiet, beautiful picture quality with PS4 Update: 1 month in and it has a pixel in the middle of the display that is stuck on red. Lowering the rating due to this quality issue. I never had this issue with my old BenQ projector.

Very bright and at most times the image is sharp. But, there are a lot of unpleasant visual effects. Dont really know how to describe it. When there were desert sands on screen there was like pink blobs.. when showing the sky there was massive rainbow effects. Honestly, the cheap 70$ one this replaces didnt have these problems. Im not going to return it but I would not have bought it had I known the picture would be like it is.

Purchased this projector To replace an older JVC model. Projector throw and keystone Our video room has a 106” diagonal screen and the dimensions required a projector with a 16ft throw. This projector advertised a 2.14 throw ratio and performed as expected for our application (16ft distance to screen) Very good screen brightness is achieved (outperforming the replaced JVC) using standard brightness setting The keystone adjustment is easy to use and allows picture to screen alignment with no visible distortion.( ideally projector needs to be positioned to minimize keystone adjustment Manual focus and zoom setting is easy to set and appears to stay on adjustment. However, remote set-up for focus, zoom and keystone Would be and outstanding addition to this projector. Noise level is noticeable acceptable in our application Overall picture quality is excellent at 1080p, not yet tested at 4K. Great value for the price.

We absolutely love this projector. We use it outside on a 20 blow up screen and we are able to plug our firestick into the back and use all our apps. We also used wireless speakers for the audio with no connection problems and the sound was crystal clear. The only downside is that it is huge but we knew that going in.

I need to begin by noting that for the last couple of years I have been spoiled by mostly watching on a 55” OLED I purchased for my bedroom and I have to note that it is unfair in my mind to base a projector against an OLED screen. Although to black levels on the projector are as good or better than any I have used it could not possibly compare to the OLED screen I had become so accustomed to. Otherwise I am impressed by this units performance given its price level. I also cannot compare it to the new laser projectors which are far above the price of this projector. I own a large number of projectors or er the last 15 years and although some of the HD/3D units are very close to the picture quality of this one they all fall a bit short. What they do not have is bluetooth, which I was happy to see is included in this one. After spending several days watching about thirty movies and barring myself from watching my OLED screen I can say this far exceeds my expectations. I have enjoyed it so much that I began to use my home theater more and have begun to upgrade my sound system. If you are considering a first time projector at this price point then I do recommend this projector. If you are looking to upgrade to 4K but are not able to shell out at least two or three times as much money for a laser projector then I also recommend this unit. Update: After using for a few months it started making a loud buzzing noise whenever an image is projected. When it goes to no image it stops so its not the fan. Very annoying. Update 2: After using this wonderful 4K projector for over a year I have experienced just one problem, that until just recently I had no idea what was causing it. The problem was a very loud and annoying sound from the unit, especially when projecting bright scenes. The sound is difficult to describe in words and the best I can do is that of n electronic buzzing. If you are experiencing the same thing you will know what I mean. The other day I just got so fed up with it I decided to try again to see if I can do anything to stop it short of opening the unit up and playing around with something I am no way qualified to do. I decided to just change settings to see if anything made a difference. After about half an hour of switching settings off and on I finally hit pay-dirt. I have always preferred the “Dynamic Mode” setting for color mode. I changed it to Cinema Mode and played a movie that I had just experienced the annoying sound and to my surprise it was gone. It turns out that the sound is evident only when in the Dynamic color mode. Although I prefer that color mode the trade off in eliminating the noise is worth it. I hope no one else has experienced this problem but if so I suggest this as a fix.
