eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, Lite, Blue

Its not often these days that you buy something and you feel like you got the deal of the century. I feel like I stole this machine. This vacuum is truly awesome, especially considering the very low price. If I had tried this machine before I heard the price, I would have gladly paid $300+ for it. The performance is astonishing. Weve owned several vacuums, including a $2500 water filtration vacuum that, thanks to this vacuum, just became garage sale material. The suction power of this vacuum is, by far, the best I have ever seen. We have several area rugs and runners in our home. They take a beating due to heavy foot traffic, and two dogs. They had become very matted down and even though theyre only a few months old, they were looking a little grungy. After vacuuming with this machine one time, the nap was standing again and they look like they did when they were new. We were shocked by how good they look, and the amount of dirt the machine pulled out of them. Reading some of the other reviews prior to ordering this, I expected this machine to be very noisy. It isnt quiet, but it is not much more noisy than any other vac weve ever used. Based on what I know so far, I highly recommend this machine. I dont know how long it will last, or if it will lose power over time, but right now its one heck of a machine for the money. I will update if anything changes.

UPDATE: AUGUST 21st 2019 I was sooo impressed with this vacuum and it had had great power and was lightweight and was for the most part, easy to use. However in the second week of August this vacuum broke. I purchased it in October 2018. I had it about 9ish months. I took very good care of the vacuum but it had a lot of use as I clean houses on the side. I’m not making a big deal of this as the vacuum was relatively inexpensive. I guess I got my money’s worth. It just would have been nice to have had it a year at least. So, I noticed about a month and a half ago while using the vac that it had some resistance when rolling. I picked it up and looked it over but didn’t see anything wrong. I was very careful to keep this vac in good shape and cleaned the filters often. Well the last day I had it, the wheel on the left side came off. Upon inspection I found that the frame that holds the wheel in place broke off. It wore thin from friction and slowly chewed the wall and became broke. I put the wheel back anyway as the wheel has pinch points which in my opinion is a really crappy design flaw. It’s supposed to pop in and stay but there’s nothing to hold the wheel in place so through time the vacuum just wears out and this happens. I checked the other wheel and it was only a matter of time before that one was done too! Plastic shavings were all over the inside. So perhaps you could get a few years out of this vacuum if used in the home with regular useage. Don’t get me wrong, this WAS a great vacuum. I have another one at home because I liked it so much. But now I’m wondering when I will have to replace the one I have at home. Sigh. So if you decide to purchase this vacuum just keep in mind that there will come a time that it will most likely break. (I might also add that this vacuum had no kids around to stand on it or anything. I was very careful with this as I take good care of all my equipment. It was never dropped or improperly used. ) I have to say I am particularly pleased with this vacuum! It’s quite powerful, quite light and easy to maneuver. I liked it so much that I bought a second one! After reading reviews I do understand some people’s complaints. Because this vacuum is light it does seem to be top heavy and does tend to tip over. I use one hand to secure it and the other to clean with when using the hose. It’s light enough that you can carry the entire unit with you as you walk. The other thing that bugs me a little is where the hose end fits on the body of the vac towards the floor. It seems to slide off easily and then you lose suction until you put the hose back on. I have used a rubber band from a lobster claw to fit over the connection piece and it seems to do the trick as it acts like a rubber washer. I would imagine one piece of double faced tape would suffice too. With those two things being said, I would not let this stop me from buying this vacuum. It agitated and lifts the pile on my carpet really well. I vacuumed my carpet with my old vac before using this new vac and I could not believe the dust and human hair it lifted that my other vacuum missed! I was blown away. Also the right side of the vac seems to get up close to the wall this cleaning that spot most vacuums seem to miss up against the trim near the floor and wall. I have two kids under 6 years old. My house is a disaster constantly. I make a point of vacuuming every other day and I’m amazed at what this vac picks up. Also, it seems to do well on my kitchen floor which is a faux tile linoleum. I like to walk barefoot in my house and I don’t hardly at all find any dirt after I use this vac to clean my floor. The dial on the floor part is easy to use and self explanatory. The dust collector bin is a breeze to use. The filter towards the top can be brought outside and shaken out. It has stood up to a house (not mine) where people have 4 dogs. It picks up pet hair well. The top part did clog with pet hair but it comes apart easily and the hair can be removed without effort. It’s built that way to save the filters which I think is a nice idea. I am impressed. This was probably the best $60.00 I have ever spent on a home cleaning device! If you don’t buy this item, you are missing out!

I purchased this as it listed it was good for thick carpet. We couldnt even push it forward without a lot of force. The suction power on regular carpet was not good either. We used our Shark in comparison and we decided this is not for us. Too late to send back but itll be donated to someone who will use it. Dont purchase if you actually want your carpets clean.

Wish it had come with an extension wand. Found a used one, problem solved. Picks up well, bare floor & carpet

Great product for the price.... this is my 2nd one... I live in OK and the red dirt is everywhere.... I love having this lightweight vac to get it up... I do vac daily, so Im hard on vacs... This one is A+....

Worked well for a year and then died

I love it…great for apartment living I have used it for the carpet, kitchen and bathroom floors…great price…it’s lightweight, bagless and worth the price…impressive…

I’m not going to lie, I’m not an avid vacuum user. My last cheapo one that I bought years ago apparently stopped working (according to my girl that comes to clean every other week, I didn’t even care enough to confirm or deny lol) so onto the next! Enter, eureka. I got it all put together the day it came in and omg. I vacuumed our living room rug and the amount of dust and dirt that came up with it was insane. It was very clear the old vacuum has not been working for awhile!!! I love how easy it is to adjust the vacuum based on floor type. Right after I vacuumed the rug my husband dropped a wine glass in the kitchen and it might as well have exploded with the way the glass shards flew. I easily changed the setting to bare floor and vacuumed the whole kitchen after sweeping up the glass and picked up SO many additional shards. It was so satisfying I vacuumed the rest of the house. Unheard of. I don’t have stairs so I can’t attest to that but this really seems to have been a great purchase and I’m very happy with it.

This vacuums right up to the wood boarder of my kitchen wood floor. I finally have a successful vacuum that gets the rugs and wood floor cleaned perfectly. This adjusts the height easily so you dont rip up your rugs, and does a great job with deep cleaning them. I can not believe the dirt I vacuumed up-- easy cleaning of cylinder. The thicker carpet I have around the house is better done with my industrial vacuum, but I tried it. I was getting shocked a lot with the tubing up the back of the vac so not likely to use this on the main carpets (but I only purchased this for the wood floors, rugs and cat fur) The attachments are great, but the hose is short, if you purchase an extension I bet it would be even better! The main complaint-- VERY loud! just plan to use this when everyone is awake and no one is bothered by the sound (hubby working). I dont care how loud it is, but that would be my main complaint. The stairs are best done with the wand attachments. Overall super happy -- though long time durability is unknown, we are only on week one with this product.
