> 3 dayI literally can’t handle the loudness of this vacuum. I will say we live in a home with all hardwood and laminate flooring. There’s no carpeting to muffle or quiet the sound of the vacuum. I rarely ever leave less than a 5 star review on something, because I myself obsessively check reviews so usually when I order things I know all the ins and outs of the product before it’s arrival. Although I got this for a steal of a price ($74) it is so loud it scares my (always loud and fearless) toddlers, and the base / head of this thing HUGE in comparison to other vacuums I’ve had most recently. I religiously use a cordless moosoo vacuum and compared to that, this thing is literally 3x as loud, and looks like a giant fossil beside the cordless. I purchased this because I wanted an option to be able to plug in and not wait to charge but I definitely will not be grabbing for this unless I desperately need something. Pros: the dust cup is huge. Very easy to assemble. Great suction. Light and easy to carry Pro & con: lightweight Cons: louder than a day At the racetrack without ear plugs. Very old school / not sleek at all design. So lightweight that it Falls over when trying to use the hose to vacuum things (and usually wails you in the head or body somewhere) If given the option, I would not repurchase. I honestly would have returned due to the loudness alone if it wasn’t for it being such a hassle due to being a big item.

> 3 dayEureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner vs Shark Rocket Professional Side-by-Side Review Background: I recently had to replace a Shark Rocket Professional, because the suction seemed to have been almost completely lost. I was always happy up to that point with it, but as I’ll explain below, after having purchased the Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, I don’t miss it one bit. Since these are basically the only two vacuum cleaners I’ve owned in my adult life, I’ll be comparing them throughout this review. Weight: Winner Eureka NEU182A This is a very light weight vacuum. I have no issues moving it up and down the stairs to clean them. The shark is significantly heavier. Features: Winner – Shark Rocket Pro. As I mentioned above, I was always pleased with the Shark from the start and one of the reasons is that it tilts with very little effort, it seems to be slightly self-propelled, and it tilts low enough to go under my coffee table. To switch between upright mode and using the hose is a very easy process. The Eureka, however is the most basic model with no bells and whistles. I’m sure they make a comparable model to the Shark, but the one I got was basic. It doesn’t tilt very low, so to get under furniture you will have to move it. Though it is very light weight compared to the shark it is harder to push. In order to switch to using the hose you must shut it off, uncouple the hose from where it attaches to the brush roller assembly, then disconnect the handle and connect the hose to it. This was just one step for the Shark. The hose seemed to stretch farther for the Shark as well and I think the hose allowed more pivoting without kinking. Canister overall: Winner Eureka NEU182A The canister for this is a bit larger than the Shark’s. It also doesn’t have as many pockets to catch dust and dirt and hair on it as the canister for the Shark does. As a result, it’s easier to remove and empty. Cleaning Performance: Winner Eureka – By a land slide. The Eureka, though it is much lighter and cheaper, seems to have quite a bit of power over the Shark. It got my floor looking much cleaner with fewer passes. Noise: Winner Shark It’s not a huge difference in noise, but it is a difference. Cleanup: Winner Eureka – by a landslide. The canister for this is a bit larger than the Shark’s. It also doesn’t have as many pockets to catch dust and dirt and hair on it as the canister for the Shark does. As a result, it’s easier to remove and empty. The rollers on the Eureka seem to somehow be resistant to having hair and string wrap around them. When vacuuming with the Shark I had to clean the rollers by cutting the hair that managed to get wrapped around and pulling it off. This usually ended up being a pretty large pile. By contrast after I finished vacuuming for the first time in several weeks with the Eureka I was afraid to flip it over and look at the brush, but to my shock and amazement they were almost completely clean. The Shark’s rollers looked like they had started to grow hair of their own after the first use. Conclusion: Winner Eureka Eureka NEU182A The Eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Lightweight Bagless Upright vacuum cleaner really sucks, thank goodness. It’s a great vacuum and will leave your floors clean. It’s light-weight and it did a great job on my stairs and furniture at removing animal hair. It is not a full featured vacuum, but it will get the job done. If you have physical restrictions or disability it may not be a good vacuum for you as it doesn’t get under coffee tables and is more difficult to push as it is completely unassisted. It doesn’t come with any attachments that allow you to reach very high, but you can buy attachments to allow this. Honestly the only two things I can Knock it for are that it doesnt feel super sturdy, which is a trade for being light-weight, and the fact that it doesnt lay all the way down to the ground.

> 3 dayOk, so like the title said I waited to write a review. It seems everyone writes a review immediately after purchase. Ive had this vacuum for almost 4 months. I got a gift card for Christmas and there was an additional discount so I didnt pay more than $60 for this vacuum. Honestly, Im glad I bought. Ill share my dislikes later. First off....I have 2 German Shepherds, a rottie mix & 4 cats in a tiny house of 550sq ft. Yes!! Im crazy...but I also need a vacuum that works and is not $600 and pretty. I chose this one over the newer model because the container is bigger. A huge plus because it fills up quickly. The other reason is you can clean the filter yourself. I recommend getting an extra filter to swap out when the other is drying. Ive hand washed the container & filter but it does take a while to dry. Suction is still good. Its also lightweight, my back loves it. Dislikes: the hose attachment needs a longer extension. I dont have stairs, so having longer extensions for for the crevice tool is what I need to save my back. Luckily, I kept some from the old vacuum, so that helps a lot. The container fills up fast and can clog with hair & toy fluff using the hose. Ive already abused this vacuum and its still going strong. Highly recommend for people with hairy, 4-legged beasts inhabiting their home.

> 3 dayI have thrown away the power nozzle from my $2400 Kirby ( but kept all the fancy attachments ). It gave me nothing but grief the 5 years I had it. This Eureka is simple to use, and is wonderful for carpet. It has found a ton of dirt that the Kirby has been missing all this time. And you can’t beat the Eureka’s price. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayThis vacuums right up to the wood boarder of my kitchen wood floor. I finally have a successful vacuum that gets the rugs and wood floor cleaned perfectly. This adjusts the height easily so you dont rip up your rugs, and does a great job with deep cleaning them. I can not believe the dirt I vacuumed up-- easy cleaning of cylinder. The thicker carpet I have around the house is better done with my industrial vacuum, but I tried it. I was getting shocked a lot with the tubing up the back of the vac so not likely to use this on the main carpets (but I only purchased this for the wood floors, rugs and cat fur) The attachments are great, but the hose is short, if you purchase an extension I bet it would be even better! The main complaint-- VERY loud! just plan to use this when everyone is awake and no one is bothered by the sound (hubby working). I dont care how loud it is, but that would be my main complaint. The stairs are best done with the wand attachments. Overall super happy -- though long time durability is unknown, we are only on week one with this product.

> 3 dayI am very happy with this vacuum. Needed something for pet hair-this does it. The attachments are well placed although I would have liked the side hose to have an extension purchase option or be longer. Cord is plenty long. Very easy to empty. I haven’t cleaned the filter yet so I don’t know if there will be issues after cleaning. Honestly my stain didn’t handle the litter dust and hair as well.

> 3 dayWe bought this vacuum when we lost our usual cleaning service to lockdown. Im getting old enough that I can feel most of my joints when I move, and wanted something lightweight and easy to use--which my shopvac wasnt. I cant say how pleased I am with this vacuum! I think the most important thing about it overall is that whoever designed it actually used it--its full of small, thoughtful features that make it a joy to use. But to start with the big things: --Suction power is great. The height of the brush roller on the front end is adjustable, from bare floor to high carpet, and between the brush and the vacuum this things does a great job deep-cleaning carpets, from tight/short-pile Persian rugs to handmade braided rugs to 20-year-old medium pile wall-to-wall. The front of the floor sweep is less than three inches high, so you can get under furniture/toe-kicks/etc. The brush depth adjustment is a big flat knob there on top of the front of the sweep, is easy to adjust, with solid, positive click-stop feedback at each of the half-dozen positions. --On stairs, its a champ, mainly because its incredibly light-weight, with a well-designed and carefully-placed handle that makes it easy to move from tread to tread. --Hair. We dont have pets, but we do have a couple of people in the household with very long hair, and a fanatic quilter who sheds bits of thread more than any dog Ive ever had, and it does a good job picking up after them. Like any vacuum with a brush roller, if you turn the thing over and pull/cut out whatever gets wrapped around the spindle every few uses, youll probably prolong belt/brush/motor life, as well as preserve its efficiency. Other things I like: --Emptying the dirt. Like most uprights these days, this machine uses a clear plastic cannister with a foam filter to protect the motor and keep fine dust from recirculating--no bags. To empty the cannister, you push one button conveniently placed at the top of the cannister and pull it off by a large handle. Hold it over (or, better, in) the trash, push a button at the bottom, and the bottom flips out of the way, dumping the contents. The foam filter at the top of the cannister is easy enough to remove and wash. I dont know how long the filter will last, but the material is not the flimsy foam rubber that you see, say, in cheap window air conditioner filters, but a slightly coarser, harder material that Ive seen stand up to repeated cleanings in other applications. To my mind, the great thing about these cannisters is that if you accidentally scoop up loose change, you can usually see it sitting on top of the pile and fish it out. --Special tools. I love the way these work. There are three tools included with the basic unit (at the next price point up you get another tool, I think a slightly fancier surface sweep). They are conveniently placed around the body/handle of the upright--nothing to move out of the way to get at them. Theyre securely attached but easy to pop off, ditto for attaching to the vacuum. They attach to a hose that connects the motor/blower unit to the floor/brush sweep, usually draped over a hook on the back of the upright handle. You detach the hose (a simple pull) from the back of the floor sweep and there it is, ready to suck. You can attach tools directly to the hose or, if you want more reach, the handle of the upright comes off (again, you just push a button), adding about two feet more of reach, and a comfortable, sturdy handle. The hose goes into the top of the handle and the tool goes on the other end. With these, its easy to get all the way under sofas, behind cabinets, etc., and control the population of dust bunnies. We have a lot of Victorian era furniture, and the brush attachment does a great job of getting the dust out of all the gingerbread. --The small touches. Take the power cord, for instance. Its a generous length, and theres a small plastic clip just below the handle on the back, which I believe is intended to hold the nearer length of the cord off the floor so you dont run over it all the time--thank you to the designer who put >that< in! To store, it coils between two prongs placed about two feet apart on the back of the upright, which isnt special but what is special is that the top prong rotates: to free the cord for use, rotate the top prong 180 degrees and the whole coil drops free. Love it! The controls (the handle release that allows the upright section to pivot back from the floor sweep, and the on-off switch) are both easy to get at with your foot, easy to tell apart, and separated well enough that youre not likely to mash one when youre going for the other. --Assembly, shipping: Easy to put together in under ten minutes, with clear instructions if youre the kind of person who reads instructions. It came in a sturdy carton, all materials recyclable, and despite the potential delays caused by the pandemic, it arrived (in perfect condition) in two days. All in all, I cant remember the last time I was so happy with a small household appliance. If its durability is on par with the rest of the quality I see here, Im hoping it will last a long time. But even if it doesnt, the thing was such a bargain compared to everything else on the market that I wont feel abused even if it only lasts a year or two. Great job, Eureka!

Greater than one weekThis vacuum has great suction and is really lightweight (my initial thought was that it looks cheap but I felt better about it when I saw how well the suction is). If I could change anything, I wish it had a headlight in the front like my previous vacuum, because that helps to see dirt in tight places, and Id prefer a little bit longer cord (just comparing to my previous Shark vac which didnt require me to change outlets as often). Otherwise, I like the size of the attachment brushes for my stairway, it gets dirt around edges really well and for the price point, I feel like it is a good vacuum.
