eureka NEU182A PowerSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, Lite, Blue

Let me start by saying I’m comparing this to the Dyson vacuum I had for nearly 20 years. I found the NEU182A to be a very powerful vacuum in regard to suction, and it is very lightweight! For a standard vacuum I would definitely recommend! There are a few things I did not like though. My Dyson has a quick release to switch to use the tube, so when I discovered you had to unattach on one part then reattach to another to use the attachments it was a big negative for me. I have two dogs and live in the desert - so being able to suck up in hard to reach places seamlessly was something I’m not willing to give up. Another not so great for me was vacuuming area rugs. If you go in the wrong direction it will not budge without serious effort. I nearly blew out my shoulder a couple times! It’s great that the suction is that strong, but what good is it for it to be lightweight if you can’t push it to vacuum? My final not so great was how short the cord is. I could vacuum my living room and kitchen with the plug on my Dyson, I had to unplug 3 times to get through these rooms with this vacuum. In the end, I bought another Dyson. These were things I couldn’t sacrifice. But if you’re just using this vacuum for basic cleaning and don’t mind the negatives I pointed out - then definitely get this!!

After several years of declining performance in our circa-1990s Hoover, we finally took the plunge and bought this new vacuum - and we are SO pleased with it, it does a great job! Light and easy to push but with very strong suction, it really pulls the dust and cat hair out of our carpets - and the clear dust receptacle is a big improvement over vacuum cleaner bags, its easy to remove and empty. Excellent vacuum and excellent value for the money.

I know with vacuums, price often does matter, but I just needed a quick replacement for an old one I had that broke, so I ordered this one to fill in while I looked into a more expensive, long-term replacement. It works fine. Its light and easy to maneuver, but it is not set up for doing stairs or under furniture - too bulky -and the hose is OK but not as good as having a longer, add-on tube to reach and vac the stuff that I cant do while wheeling it around. Its easy to empty and doesnt seem to clump up inside as much as some Ive had, so Id recommend it as a cheap alternative that works moderately well.

Great product for the price.... this is my 2nd one... I live in OK and the red dirt is everywhere.... I love having this lightweight vac to get it up... I do vac daily, so Im hard on vacs... This one is A+....

In the recent past i purchased 3 different times, vacuums that were battery powered. I switched to a vacuum with a cord you must plug in. Im so happy i did. The difference in suction and the amount of dirt, dust,pet hair and debris is mind boggeling! Was i even vacuuming before? Ill never buy another cordless again! Buy this vacuum. Harder to use since you must work with the cord but, worth it. My wall to wall carpeting looks like new! No exaggeration. Great product.

This SWEET Eureka Vacuum cleaner is to replace my VERY Expensive, VERY HEAVY vacuum cleaner!! My old vacuum is way too cumbersome for me as I get older....so I am donating it come Monday because I LOVE my new EUREKA!!! My New Eureka is LIGHTWEIGHT and it Sucks up EVERYTHING in my carpet as well or better than a $600 vacuum did....but this Eureka is a LOT easier to manage!!! My living room carpet looks BRAND NEW again!!!......it is two years old next month and it now looks like the Day it was installed....amazing how much DIRT was in it.....the carpet looked perfectly clean and fairly new looking before I vacuumed....but After....OMG, the large container on this Eureka was a third full of dirt and dust (and it is a REALLY LARGE container) my carpet looks AMAZING and Feels Amazing under my feet... just like the first day it was installed!!!! I cant say enough good stuff about this Vacuum......I just hope it last for years and continues to work as well as it did on the first day!!! Oh, the container that catches all the dirt and yuk from my carpet is SO EASY to empty.... Thank you Eureka and you better be there if, or when, I ever need you!!! (All the Eureka literature and the box this product arrives in says that Eureka will always be there to help with this product, they say to contact them anytime....so I will IF I need to do so....)!!! Im ok with it, im 6 4 240 and roll jiu jitsu, but for a person that is of a smaller weight class, this thing is like a big weight of lead, its so heavy, ok for me, but not so sure for others, i mean very heavy lol.0

I really like this vacuum with the exception that when you pull back it doesn’t suck only when you go forward. It’s great for dog hair though. I have a German shepherd that sheds like crazy. It’s been good so far. It’s a lightweight plastic vacuum and is easy to vacuum with. I’m hoping it lasts for a long time as sometimes the lighter plastic vacuums die easily. But we’ll see.

So, I ordered a black and decker vacuum off of Amazon 9 months ago and it just turned off in the middle of vacuuming one day and decided to be done working. We have 2 big dogs and vacuum every other day if not daily. So, we cannot go without one. We used to get a vacuum at Walmart that would last quite a while, but I was looking for something less than $80 and maybe something we would like better and that is what led me to the black and decker. Since that one took a crap, I came on here to find something with better reviews and such. I came across this Eureka pretty quick and was quickly drawn to the over 7,000 reviews and the fact that it is lightweight and has an XL dust cup. After reading about the product and the reviews, I decided since it was on a great sale to go for it. We have had it only a few days so far, but it works like a champ. The pros for me are that it is very lightweight. I weighed the Eureka and my old one and there was just a 1 pound difference. The Eureka weighs about 11 pounds. I like that because I carry this up and down stairs to vacuum them and I can easily manage holding this. This sits higher so it is comfortable when pushing around. I like that it has the option to change from bare floor up to full carpet. One of the best parts is the XL dust cup. I showed a picture comparing my old one to this one and the size difference is huge. I love not having to empty it in the middle of vacuuming. While it is convenient to have the handle double as a wand extender, this was the one con I have found so far. When I vacuum using the wand, I like to hold the handle and pull the vacuum around with me and with the handle being in use that doesnt work well. Of course this is just a preference of mine. With all the vacuums we have had over the years we actually have some wand extenders we have fixed together and we just use that so we arent overly bending over. I do wish the cord length was a bit longer. Of course that is just me being lazy and not wanting to change outlets often but when vacuuming the whole house, that is going to happen. When we got our old one, the cord was shorter than we were used to and had to get used to moving it a lot. While the Eureka can go a little further than our old one, it isnt much further. I still have to move outlets as much as before. I feel that it picks up things well both with the wand and being pushed around. It is easy to empty the dust cup and the filter is easy to get to and wash. I also dont feel it is extremely loud as I did read in some reviews. It sounds just as loud as any other vacuum I have ran before. So far I am pleased with my purchase and hoping to get some longevity out of it.

This is a light weight vacuum and has plenty of suction. A little hard to use on stairs but doable. It also has all of the usual attachments and is easy to empty the dirt bin.
