> 24 hourSoak a rusty bit today and chances are very good that you’ll have a rust-free part tomorrow. The stuff just works and don’t need a hazmat suit to use it. Best of all, you can reuse it over and over. One drawback to Evapo-Rust is it doesn’t stick like some products and requires a fair amount of time to do its magic. However, I found by soaking towels with the stuff and making sure they stayed wet it did an admirable job on motorcycle spokes (see photos). Great product and definitely worth the price.

> 24 hourThis stuff works really well, and doesnt leave things oily or slimy. Cleans right off easily. Set your expectations realistically - things dont come out chrome plated - just rust free, and ready to start refinishing. I checked in 2 hours, then 4 hours, and decided to go for 24 hours. Done. Then poured the used (whole gallon) back into its container until I need it again.

> 24 hourThis stuff works great. Just soak till rust goes away. I like that its nontoxic. Just be sure to cover bare metal so it doesnt rust again.

> 24 hourI read other reviews here and decided to give this a try. My images are of a fuel pump assembly for a crotch rocket that sat up too long. As you can see, this stuff cleaned it up overnight. It worked just as good on the inside of the gas tank. I just swished the tank around every couple hours and 12 hours later rinsed it out with water and it looked brand new inside. Dont hesitate to buy this, it works great.

> 24 hourWorks great- easily removed rust buildup on my ice skates. Very easy to use- just let your item soak in the product for an hour or so and the rust easily wipes away. Definitely recommend this product.

> 24 hourWow and Double-wow. This stuff really works! I inherited some of my grandfathers tools. Many from the early 1900s. Most so rusted that I thought they were trash. I soaked the tools for a day and wow! I then cleaned them off with a wire brush and then with a wire wheel on my grinder. I am a very happy man!

> 24 hourbought 2 gal to prepare steel wheels for repainting after 10 years of winter service. the evaporust works slowly. found out i needed 4 gallons to get sufficient depth in the galvanized tub I used.then used glass bottles filled with water to further raise the fluid level- Archimedes-style. i have access to a circulator pump/heater and ran that to aid with the process. it might have worked ok on less rusted wheels, but after a week-10 days working on these 4 wheels, i was not making a lot of headway. Then found out that a local monument (headstone) business would media blast my wheels for $10 each. waay faster, easier and cheaper than the $80 of evaporust I tried for this project. the stuff might be OK for small pieces or less thick deposits, but for rust removal on winter steel wheels, blasting is the way to go. Not this product.

> 24 hourI followed the instructions and let it sit for 24 hours. Took it out cleaned it up and no improvement whatsoever. I then let it soak for 3 days straight stirring and waiting and still zero change. What a waste of time and money. Then to add insult to injury they are charging me 7.95 to return it? This is one company I will never buy from again

> 24 hourI have never encountered this substance before. People probably want to know if it actually works. It seems it does. At any rate the rust is being removed, which I believe is the intention. It does take time -- a few to many hours -- but given that it is non-hazardous and reusable, there is no complaint on speed. Others here have written of its virtues and methodologies, so Ill not repeat them. But it is remarkable enough that I feel compelled to contribute five stars. I imagine this chemical will be standard issue for any workshop or utility closet, as it is hard to fault.
