> 3 dayMy go-to rust remover for removing decades old rust off of vintage hardware or pieces during restorations. I let the parts soak overnight usually and they are clean and ready to roll in the morning. It can be reused too but the cleaning will take longer the dirtier the remover gets from cleaning previous pieces. Does not burn if contacted with my skin and I simply rinse the parts off with water prior to plating or painting. Love the stuff.

> 3 dayIf you’re looking for non-abrasive means of removing rust from smallish parts, this stuff is the best. You have to be patient, but man does the patience pay off!! And it’s cheaper here on Amazon than from my local auto parts stores.

> 3 dayParts have to soak for a good 2 plus hours fully submerged in Evapo-Rust ER012. Then we wire wheel parts before soaking them in an oil bath for an hour, then wipe clean. Work prefect on Good used parts for our needs.

> 3 dayGot a vintage pot belly stove I want to clean up and use in my shop. It had a ton of rust abd I looked up different methods abd this seemed to be a miracle product so I got three gallons and soaked the dismantled stove. I kept checking every few hours, and every check yeilded very little progress. Let it soak fir TWO DAYS! Not only is most the rust still on it but now it has that Ive been killing myself to clean off on top of the rust. This picture taken halfway through the post-soak scrubbing. The pieces were WAAAY worse when I removed them for this miracle rust remover.

Greater than one weekThis product is amazing. Used to restore old military rifles, removed all the rust with out damaging the metal. Non toxic and washes off with water. Bought a second gallon to work on shovels and other garden implements.

Greater than one weekIve never written a review before but had to for this one as the results were incredible. Leave the items overnight in the solution, rinse them off and lightly hit them with a wire brush and the difference is incredible. Add a little metal polish at the end and they look brand new. This hammer is about 15 years old I would say and now it looks incredible. I have already purchased another gallon and will continue buying this product in the future.

> 3 dayI tried Evapo-Rust on some 60+ year old hand tools that I picked up at an auction. It worked great for removing all rust from the tools, which was minor surface rust.

08-06-2025This stuff is magical. It is inexplicably so much better than vinegar or even electrolysis. There is some combination of proprietary ingredients in it that makes it the most effective rust remover I have ever seen. It’s such a Godsend and time saver if you need to remove rust on a regular basis like I do. It takes rust to nearly bare steel in 24 hours on most anything. Really great product. Kind of expensive, but worth it.

> 3 dayI had an antique tool box that went through two floods. All the tools received various stages of rust. I soaked the pictured edging tool blade for 24hrs and then used a metal tooth brush on it and received impressive results. There is some pitting but not so much as to be disappointed. This product is worth ever penny if you have small items that can be soaked. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayThis stuff works to remove rust. It does evaporate slowly when left setting to soak outside. 10/10 will buy again for my next project.
