I have an antique planter which had about 70+years of rust on the metal parts. I tried sanding to no avail. I purchased the Evapo-Rust and placed the metal parts in the solution for 24 hours. Absolutely amazing!. The rust literally fell off the parts. It saved me hours and hours of work and I have a planter that has its original parts and looks great. Terrific product--no chemical smell--had some of the parts in the solution on my kitchen counter and never smelled anything.

I bought it to clean out a rusty gas tank on a generator but i kept putting the job off since I did not need the generator. When I got to work on the generator the container was empty, it had all evaporated. I gave it three stars because one star would be unfair but honestly I never got to use it. So word to the wise, buy it and use it as quickly as possible, dont let it sit around or you may have nothing to work with.

This stuff works really well. Surface rust will be gone in a few hours. Deep, pitted rust will take a day or so. Depending on the the metal type, it will sometimes leave a hard black carbon layer that can be painted over or metal brushed away supposedly,but I just leave it. It has something to do with the reaction that occurs. I have derusted multiple tools, knifes, and other things and it doesn’t even looked like I’ve used it. Hopefully will last a while because it is pricey. So far I am very satisfied with this product. It amazes me that something non toxic can do all this. You can drink this stuff if you really want to. Highly recommend

This is a Product that Actually works as they say. This is now my favorite go too stuff. Had a old Dacati gas tank that sat for over 30 years. Put muratic acid straight in tank and did absolutely nothing. Tried this stuff and it work in less than 10 hrs of sitting. I put BB’s inside as well to help break up large deposits. Tank turned out beautifully. Will use again and definitely be spreading the word. To actually come across a product that works nowadays is next to impossible. Do yourself a favor and buy it!!

OK, we all know this stuff works. It works better, though, if its warm. I put the container on top of a low watt heating pad, bought at a local pet shop. the kind to keep you reptile warm. This really speeds up the process. One another note, Amazons packing was horrible! They just threw the container, loose, in a box with several other items. It was leaking when it arrived. I refused delivery.

IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF RUST , THIS IS THE WAY, CAR GUYS PUT THEIR BOLTS IN THIS, AND THE NEXT MORNING THEY LOOK NEW AGAIN, ESPECIALLY FOR THE NUMBERS MATCHING CARS

I used this to de-rust a motorcycle gas tank. Worked like a charm after letting it stand for several days.

Ive used this to resurrect completely seized brushed motors, and to my surprise, the motors can actually run SUBMERGED in this stuff! Its also been used to clean many of my old power tools, like the chucks of my drills. Amazing stuff.

This evapo rust solution is very efficient at eating the rust off tools and other metal. Even with very bad surface rust will come off if you get a tray that can hold some tools then poor it in there and let it sit a couple of days. I use it mainly to clean farm tools some of them are 60 or 80 years old maybe 100 years not sure I know they are old and if that rust remover works on cleaning them then it will probably work on just about anything. I use it to clean parts off lawn equipment too In a tub.
