Used this on a motorcycle fuel tank that was rusty inside. I left it in for 24 hours shook it up every hour or so and left it on a different side after shaking. Tank holds 6 gallons and i used 2 gallons of evaporust product. After 24 hours i poured product out and rinsed it out 10 or 12 times and it got really clean. No smell no harsh chemicals. I put back in original containers to use again. Will buy again.

Amazing product. Its one of those few products that do exactly what it says it does and exceeds expectations. I used to do the soak in vinegar and gently sand with aluminum foil trick now i just soak my rusted parts in a bath of evapo-rust for 24 hours, just wipe down and rinse off. Seriously try this. I restore vintage bikes, perfect for fenders, sprockets, bolts, parts etc.

This stuff worked really, really well on some very old, very rusted gym equipment I own. The problem is it really is not enough liquid to soak substantial projects, and it is entirely dependent on the container you have. The larger the container, the less depth youll get, and the smaller the item you are de-rusting needs to be. Its kind of a double-edged sword. If there was more liquid for the price, this would be perfect.

If youre looking for a product that is easy and safe to use, and does what it says, look no further. I used this on several rusted items and I cannot believe how great of a job it did. All I had to do was drop the item into the liquid and come back a few hours later. The rust, no matter how much, was all gone. Just needed to rinse it off with water and do whatever I needed to to finish the project. Amazing stuff!

Surface rust gone! Made cleaning up 80 years Tractor parts alot easier. Remember to use above 65 degrees.

With a little less than half the container Ive totally cleaned 5 vintage axe heads, 3 wrenches, a few punches, and a couple handfuls of wedges for axe handles. This stuff is like magic, 12-24 hours and theres absolutely no rust left after being 100% covered in it. When you remove items they almost look like they have a very light sandblasted finish to them, but you can shine then up with either a wire brush or a wire wheel for a hand drill. Its definitely reusable but I can start to tell the bit that Ive been using is losing its potency. But for the cost its worth it not having to spend all the time on a large wire wheel with large items like axe heads, and for small spaces like the inside of adjustable wrenches you cant wire wheel, theres nothing better than this stuff. I will be ordering more, and everyone Ive shown is amazed what it does, and have asked me to dunk some of their old rusty tools in as well.

I took a metal box, full of old tools, dumped in enough to cover everything and shook it every day for a few days, then rinsed it all. Really good results!

Great for small items with minor rust, but not so great for the items that have thick rust.

Let me start by saying I’m not new to rust removal. I’ve used everything from vinegar to CLR to muriatic acid and everything in between to remove rust and while they all work to some extent, they all have drawbacks. Vinegar is poor unless you use the commercial strength, CLR and Muriatic Acid both work, but you must be very careful as both will dissolve your metal in the process. This stuff is awesome. Don’t rush it, give it time to soak and you’ll be very pleased with the results. Another plus is that I’ve soaked Chrome plated tools in this and they come out clean and still shiny. Other products will actually dissolve the chrome coating.
