Evapo-Rust ER012 Super Safe – 128 oz., Non Toxic Rust Remover for Auto Parts, Hardware, Antiques | Rust Removers and Chemicals

I used Evaporust in the final step to clean out a rusty gas tank. It appeared to do what I needed done but there was still evidence of surface rust ina couple of small areas in the tank. Lacking a borescope and having only a small mirror to inspect the tank with I cannot tell how thoroughly this product removed the rust. I will be trying it on my camper this spring where the rust conditions are more accessible and then I will know better how well it works.

Works pretty good. I had rust in my harley tanks. I let it sit for 3 days without removing my tanks. Emptied it out and then rinsed it with a hose. I havent had any problems since. Just kinda pricey.

Worked on alot of bearings, bolts, assorted steel, and iron items, some though grew a type of black fungus after a while and some became more prone to rust after a couple days but in rhe end id get it, it works for most stuff

Works amazing, 5hp briggs and stratton gas tank was completely rusted..i filled the tank with the rust away product and let it soak for a couple of days...poured it out, and I washed the tank out with water and the results were amazing.....rust completely gone. Good stuff

Bought this product to clean up some old hand tools. It was clear that it was working within about 20 minutes. I left some parts in as long as 24 hours without any negative effects. Very little additional work needed to clean up the tools, just a quick pass with a wire wheel. I have filtered and reused this liquid multiple times and it continues to work well.

This is hands down the best rust remover there is , no messy gels like others and it doesnt harm other components, I needed this to clean out a atv gas tank and it removed the rust so quick I could literally get back to riding within a few hours. Also this can be reused alot of times ... all you have to do is strain it to get the rust out of the solution and your good.

It’s easy, safe and it works. Don’t expect like new, but it’s definitely better than it was when it was rusted. It removed the rusted parts. It says works at 65degrees and warmer, but it’s in the 50s here plus rain so not sure if that affected the outcome. Still, I’m satisfied with how my snow chains turned out and ready for use this year. I soaked each section about 3 hours. Brush the tougher areas. After drying, I spray it with anti corrosion spray.

Best way to remove rust from tools I have found. Only drawback is that it leaves a dark grey film - it is fairly easy to remove though.

The stuff works amazingly well, even compared to old standards like naval jelly or vinegar. It smells much better than those as well, though sometimes the metal coming out of the bucket has a bit of sulphide whiff to it. Its also much safer to handle, even without gloves, though once you near the end of the stocks life the black stuff in the bottom can be a bit difficult to clean off. And the stuff is super forgiving; you can leave items sitting in it for a very long time without damaging the base metal. For me, one gallon de-rusted probably 10 iron planes, the hardware from five transitional planes, dozens of plane irons, a giant batch of chisels, some screwdrivers, an ax and a froe; youd probably get more life out of it by being a bit better than I was about not leaving stuff in there for days.

1 gallon of evapo-rust was pored into my empty, rusty, CBR600RR tank. I changed the lean angle of the tank every few hours, in hopes of making sure all areas were being covered by the fluid for a given time frame. 24 hours later I poured out the evapo-rust (back into its original container as it is reusable!) , rinsed tank with water, and the inside was like new again!! I quickly dried the tank and coated the interior with a mix of fresh gas and 2 stroke oil to prevent flash surface rust. I couldnt be happier with this product, I think its worth every penny!!
