> 3 dayI really like how these pencils work - I prefer the harder and sharper tip compared to the Prisma Premiers. They are strong and easy to work with. But I am disappointed about the color selection in this box. They are not representative of the full range of available colors (box of 120). The selection for greens and pinks/purples are low, and reds are overrepresented. I miss a darker green like forest, pine or juniper, and a light magenta, crimson or violet. And reds are overrepresented, to the point that I don’t see a relevant difference between dark red (225) and middle cadmium red (217) or pale geranium lake (121) and deep scarlet red (219) or even pompeian and venetian red (191-190). I regret that I didn’t wait until I was ready to buy the complete set of 120 pencils. Adding a picture of the back of the box displaying the colors and the available colors on a sheet of swatches the for the full 120 box.

> 3 dayIm not any good at shading or swatching, but wanted to just see how colorful these pencils are...I colored the swatches on strathmore colored pencil paper, not sure if I like the paper- but I love the pencils! I think anyone artistic in your family would love a gift like this they will last a long time

> 3 dayI decided to go ahead and purchase this set of pencils. It is certainly taking a plunge but the price I paid is 152.00. Ive been keeping an eye on them and at Christmas time they were 160.00 on Amazon and Ive seen them all the way up to 190.00.I purchased the 12 set several months ago to see what all the hype was about. I do love these pencils they do all the work for you. They blend very nicely and you get nice clean lines with them. I still love my prismacolors but I know I will enjoy working with them. If youve been on the fence about these pencils you might want to go ahead and get them now. The price will go up again.

> 3 dayI started creating a swatch chart with my new set of 120 Polychromos pencils and wrote an email to Faber Castell informing them that I had received two Pine Green pencils and no Chrome Oxide Green. I was provided the opportunity to send the pencils to Faber-Castell for replacement and told that Faber-Castell USA does not sell or distribute through Amazon, nor are we affiliated with them. The pencil set was sourced through Topaz Worldwide, which returns a Page Not Found error when I click the link in the Orders record.

> 3 dayI am so happy with these, I ordered the 36 pack and am sending this one to a friend of mine who also enjoys adult colouring books. The colours are vibrant and go on so beautifully and if you wish, you can layer them as stated without risk of bloom. I like Prismacolor pencils too and had always used those in the past but I think I prefer the texture of these oil based pencils. Its nice to have both brands in my stash of art supplies. These are well worth the price and in fact, Amazon has the best price I could find.

> 3 dayOk First if all don’t let a lot of these misleading people tell you they are the best , second they ARE NOT easy to blend those that they say they are are experienced artist for a beginner I recommend PRISMACOLORS these are oil based and oil is not the same as Wax just because you read a good review doesn’t mean you’ll love them Me personally have no issues as I’m an expert and I use prismacolors polychromos and carandache pencils I suggest you start off with a cheap buy then spending 165 you’ll thank me later your welcome if you wanna check out my work follow me @Jmeloart_studio
