> 3 dayNot going to lie, bought these to use with heaters. Yes, you can use smart plugs for heaters if they don’t draw any more wattage than the smart plug is rated for. Safety measures for heaters are mainly carried out to make sure people don’t plug them into plugs/power strips that aren’t made to handle the load. I.e, you plug a 2000W space heater into a $5 power strip from the dollar store, you might blow up your house. The little heaters I’m using are a simple 1500W and being that these smart plugs are rated for 1800W max, they are doing just fine so far. I was a little nervous these being the first smart plugs I’ve used, but they were super easy to connect and I had no issues downloading the app to set up. Everything went smoothly and they couldn’t be easier to use. I love that the app actually tells you how much energy the plug is drawing while it is running a device and the app even records the usage for that day so that you can go back and look at how much power you used within a certain amount of time if curious. Especially in consideration of your power bill. I’m also crazy about the fact that I can turn these off from anywhere if I accidentally leave them on and that on super cold nights, I can turn them on 15-30 mins before I get home so that I’m nice and toasty once I get there without having wasted energy. There’s even a timer option for the forgetful person in all of us. I look for these to save me a ton of money this mild southern winter as it’ll keep me from running anything unless absolutely necessary. Two thumbs up. 11/30/2020 UPDATE!!!: After using these for a week or two, Ive had to come back and deduct two stars. They originally seemed to be a five star product, but Ive noticed an annoying flaw. They keep falling offline and I have to unplug and re plug them in to reset, as theres no way to do this from the app. This is particularly aggravating as one is located behind my bed and I have to pull it back to get to it. Once I do reset though, they seem to reconnect to my wifi just fine. Now this could have something to do with the fact that my internet is satellite based and not DSL, but I doubt it as I have no issues keeping my other devices connected to it. One falls offline more often than the other, but theyve both done it. Either way, if I were to choose to buy some, I can say without a doubt it wouldnt be this brand. And unfortunately, this means I cant recommend them. 1/18/2021 Update Turns out, it actually was the Belkin router I was using. I ditched the router and set them up on my network that solely uses my Exede router and have not had any problems since with disconnection or otherwise. As a sidenote, I also stopped using them with my space heater because Id rather be safe than sorry and its just always a good idea to plug a heater directly into a receptacle rather than an extension of any sort. Anywhoozle, bumped them back up to 5 stars because theyre doing what theyre supposed to do quite well!

> 3 dayI used the Smart Life App and under Electrician choose power Strip wifi. Alexa picked it right up and I can now easily turn the surge protector on or off via a schedule or voice.

> 3 dayFollow the instructions and setup is a breeze. I set up this plug to operate decorative lights that hang high in our outdoor entertaining area. With this product, there is no ugly extension cord, or climbing on a ladder to plug them in... All I have to do to operate the lights is say, Alexa, turn on/off the outside lights. And its done!

> 3 dayI have too many smart plugs installed around my home (according to my wife :). BUT these have a very useful extra - they monitor how much electricity has flowed through them! For those power-hungry electric heaters, its a great feature to have (and yes, they have the needed ampacity to run an electric heater). With the smart home integration, you can make sure that heater gets TURNED OFF before the electric bill hits the roof. From my tests, it works great (in Smart Home - Google & Alexa operate the device, but dont report power usage... too bad). I have not independently checked how accurate they are - I have the tools to do so, and I may update this review if they turn out to be inaccurate. Price for the 4-pack seems fair!

> 3 dayAfter nearly an hour of trying to pair the plug, and carefully following the directions and all the suggestions in the More Device-Pairing FAQ, I clicked on the Report an Issue link. Clicked on Fails to connect then Wi-Fi device to discover that the device cannot connect to a Wi-Fi 6 network. Would have been nice to have this limitation listed in the product description. Sending back as a very unhappy former customer.

Greater than one weekPlugs worked fine for first six months, then started glitching and randomly turning on and off on their own accord. After this happened, I could not reset the plugs and they are rendered worthless. Don’t waste your time.

> 3 dayThe executive overview: DO like: Theyre really cheap and they work great after theyre set up. DONT like: The setup process is convoluted. Also you have to give an email address during setup. The documentation that is included with the device is outdated and shows an old version of the Google Home app. The app has had significant changes since the documentation was made so the UI path is different. If you have a mixed mode wifi access point (2.4GHz and 5GHz at the same time with the same SSID) or your AP is only 5GHz, youll need to purchase and set up a seperate wifi access point for these plugs. Also I dont know what the other reviewers are talking about when they mention charging their phones via these plugs because they do not have USB ports. I suspect that the merchant ninja swapped the product and description on this product listing to a newer model without the charging port.

> 3 dayI use several more these WiFi outlets to manage lights, misters and fans for my reptile enclosures. They are a necessary part of my automation for their care.
