Greater than one weekThese work great with Alexa! I have two plugs so far. It is a bit tricky to set up using Smartlife but once you get the hang of it it is solid. A great feature is that the device also has time-clock capability. You can schedule on and off times (or just one) so if you forget to turn something on or off, you are covered. The instructions are typically poor and need to be translated into workable English; but if you download SmartLife on your wifi phone it will automatically discover the plug and then you can name it anything you want for Alexa.

> 3 dayWhen my old manual timer that I used at my massage office to turn on my towel warmer finally died , I looked into getting one that worked remotely. For under $10 . FRANKEVER Mini Smart Plug, works perfectly! Now As long as I already have wet towels in the warmer, all I have to do is open the App on my phone and press the start button and voila, hot towels for my loyal customers. There’s even a schedule that you can set up for use. Hey, it’s just made my life a whole lot simpler. No more extra trips to the office, wasting time and gas. One con is the instructions are micro minuscule. ( Think Apple I-phone) So some sort of magnifying device is needed to read instructions. Once over the hurdle, it works wonderfully!

> 3 dayI was looking for a plug that can be controlled automatically because I figured that I can make my home appear occupied and this 2 pack seemed like a no brainer. The price was so cheap so I was not expecting too much but I was pretty surprised when I gave it a try. This device was simple to set up and they add a USB port to every plug where this is placed. I do not really use the Alexa feature but I do use the remote control option through the app which helps me add more custom options such as schedules to the devices that are connected. I plugged in my Christmas tree to one of these and set a schedule that automatically turned it off during the morning and on during the day. Right now I just have a couple of lamps connected to them with a random schedule that makes it seem like there is always someone at my home. There really are no cons with this product, it does not block the other ports and, like I mentioned before, it adds a USB plug. Overall great product that does not really make any compromises. There really is no feature that I felt was left out of this device. The price is affordable and I think believe I get an awesome deal. I hope this review helps you make an educated decision with your purchase.

> 3 dayThe outlet works fine with the TuyaSmart app on the Kindle Fire, but the app will not communicate with Alexa … once the app is installed it will not re-enter the pairing mode so Alexa can discover it. I contacted Tuya support via the email address given in the app, but no response from them.

17-11-2024The Chinese are probably spying on me but this is cheap and it works fine. I use the Smart Life - Smart Living app to control it. So far Ive purchased 2 of these, so far so good.

> 3 dayMy electric bill is going up, and up. Most likely thanks to Covid and stay at home. But I needed to take charge of the situation and identify if anything can be done to bring it under control. Step one was to identify the big power hogs. Then I’ll move to the clusters – power strips with lots of items hooked up to. This smart plug is designed very well. It does not cover any part of the adjacent plug on the wall, going sideways instead of a cheaper solution – Round. Adding to SmartLife app was a breeze. Usually I do it in an outlet convenient to me, and after I add it, I unplug and then unplug the select appliance (a Fridge to begin with), plug the smart plug then plug the appliance in. BTW, once you add the plug to SmartLife, Alexa will automatically add it as well. No need for any extra work. In SmartLife one goes to “ELECTRICAL” (bottom of the plug screen) and he’ll see the total power consumption for the period. In my case it crosses 2 KWh per day. This should help me assess if I can justify replacing my 18 years old fridge. Hopefully this review helps people trying to understand and solve their high electric bills.

> 3 dayAfter nearly an hour of trying to pair the plug, and carefully following the directions and all the suggestions in the More Device-Pairing FAQ, I clicked on the Report an Issue link. Clicked on Fails to connect then Wi-Fi device to discover that the device cannot connect to a Wi-Fi 6 network. Would have been nice to have this limitation listed in the product description. Sending back as a very unhappy former customer.
