Greater than one weekWorks like a champ. No complaints at all. The app is simple to connect and if the power goes out or its unplugged it still remembers everything just fine

Greater than one weekIt works. It’s been working. But it was a pain to set up. I had to redownload the app just to get it to pair, and the app is very limited. Instead of setting it on a timer to turn on every 4 hours and off after 4 minutes. I had to individually put in each time and the function i wanted it to do. There was also 2 menus to set up the time. But only one menu worked. The other did not.

Greater than one weekPurchased 2 of these intending to use at my remote lake cabin - 1 on my router (for power reset if/when needed) and 1 for a well pump to control on / off remotely. 1 of the outlets worked for the first use only, then, even though the WIFI on/off function worked, the outlet wouldnt actually turn on. The 2nd outlet worked for multiple cycles however, upon setting these outlets up, I learned that these outlets work ONLY on local WiFi e.g. the outlet(s) and your phone app need to be connected to the same WiFi network LOCALLY. These outlets are NOT intended to be managed remotely over the internet. Ill be returning these outlets. The fact that the outlets cant be managed when used remotely wasnt clear in the product descriptions / details.

Greater than one weekThis works fine as a generic smart plug with the associated app. However, the process that you are guided through to link it with Alexa DOES NOT WORK. When I hit the link button it opens a page that says the app is out of date and I have to update before linking. There is no update to the Gosund app nor the Alexa app. I bought this explicitly to work with Alexa. So, its kinda worthless. I guess it was only $10. Unfortunately, I feel like I now have to use that overused phrase that I hate reading in reviews and makes me think it was written by someone much older than myself. You get what you pay for.

> 3 dayBuyer beware this does not come with the remote shown, so if you dont have a smartphone this is worthless.

> 3 dayMy electric bill is going up, and up. Most likely thanks to Covid and stay at home. But I needed to take charge of the situation and identify if anything can be done to bring it under control. Step one was to identify the big power hogs. Then I’ll move to the clusters – power strips with lots of items hooked up to. This smart plug is designed very well. It does not cover any part of the adjacent plug on the wall, going sideways instead of a cheaper solution – Round. Adding to SmartLife app was a breeze. Usually I do it in an outlet convenient to me, and after I add it, I unplug and then unplug the select appliance (a Fridge to begin with), plug the smart plug then plug the appliance in. BTW, once you add the plug to SmartLife, Alexa will automatically add it as well. No need for any extra work. In SmartLife one goes to “ELECTRICAL” (bottom of the plug screen) and he’ll see the total power consumption for the period. In my case it crosses 2 KWh per day. This should help me assess if I can justify replacing my 18 years old fridge. Hopefully this review helps people trying to understand and solve their high electric bills.

> 3 dayI’m updating my review. Previously, I thought these were great but it hasn’t even been a year and they don’t connect and time out all the time on the app. Do not recommend.

> 3 dayThe outlet works fine with the TuyaSmart app on the Kindle Fire, but the app will not communicate with Alexa … once the app is installed it will not re-enter the pairing mode so Alexa can discover it. I contacted Tuya support via the email address given in the app, but no response from them.

Greater than one weekI use this on a house hot water circulator. Its fairly expensive to run 24/7, do this handy device allows me to turn it on and set a timer.

> 3 dayThese work great with Alexa! I have two plugs so far. It is a bit tricky to set up using Smartlife but once you get the hang of it it is solid. A great feature is that the device also has time-clock capability. You can schedule on and off times (or just one) so if you forget to turn something on or off, you are covered. The instructions are typically poor and need to be translated into workable English; but if you download SmartLife on your wifi phone it will automatically discover the plug and then you can name it anything you want for Alexa.
