> 3 dayGreat concept. We needed this when we went away on vacation to switch light on/off. You can control the switch on off anywhere far away from home. Make sure your router is close by, because we needed to use a router extension to pick up the wifi, otherwise it worked as mentioned.

Greater than one weekI bought a 4-pack of smart plugs after reading they could be used to power down your Modem/Router rid yourself of unplugging the power cord. Well, those particular smart plugs use wi-fi so you can pretty much guess what happened when I tried to turn it back on... NOTHING! Theres no wi-fi available to turn the smart plug back on! So as I wrestled with whether I should return or keep the other plugs, I learned about the GE CYNC which uses both wi-fi AND bluetooth technology. Setup was so simple I thought I must have missed something. I plugged in the routers power cord and cycled it off then back on without a hitch, thanks to bluetooth. The router took its usual 3 to 5 minutes to re-establish itself and the connections to my many peripherals and devices.

Greater than one weekCurrently I have three of these running to shut off some strip outlets full of those not needed while gone electronics. Works great to shut down the whole set of adapters and power use both as needed with the button on the plug, using my phone, Alexa or on a programmed schedule. Definitely handy in lowering my electric usage.

> 3 dayI needed a smart plug that would work when there was no Internet. I needed a plug that would allow me to power-cycle some Internet gear (such as a modem or a switch) located in a crawlspace. Very likely, the reason I would need to power-cycle some Internet gear would be because that very gear was not working, i.e., no WiFi and no way to control your typical WiFi-only smart plug. Doh. So, this Cync plug automatically switches over to Bluetooth when there is no Internet connection. You dont have to do anything. I can easily switch the plug off and on via Bluetooth using the Cync app on my phone.

> 3 dayIt seems like most smart plugs require you to change your wifi frequency to operate which can be a real pain, particularly if you have a mesh network. For this device, I simply plugged it in and it was immediately discoverable via Alexa. Maybe a bit more expensive then other alternatives but the ease of installation makes it worthwhile.
