> 3 dayI read all the bad reviews but figured it’s GE, they should be ok. Nope. Have three of these things for about 5 months now. If the plugs are supposed to be on and the power goes out for a second, when the power comes back on, the switches stay off. So if you have, let’s say, an aquarium that needs the pump to be on and the power goes off for a split second, the pump will remain off until you go in the app and turn it back on, or the next day when it’s supposed to turn on again. One of the switches just died after a power outage. I don’t recommend these at all. They’re supposed to save you not ruin you. These smart switches are not so smart after all.

> 3 dayThese work well, and I feel safer using the GE brand as opposed to brands Ive never heard of. Even if you just use them to trigger lamps, theyre very practical and save you effort over time.

> 3 dayPros: Works great in my smart home of 30+ wifi enabled devices. It is easily controlled via the Cync app or by Alexa. Con: My only advice for the manufacturer... please include an integrated status light for the on/off button! I put a little round sticker on the on/off button to make it easier to see. Otherwise, it really blends in with the rest of the device.

> 3 dayUnfortunately I have run out of patience. I had a Cync hub, the app says i can now only use light bulbs and light switches. I was having a lot of trouble keeping the hub connected to the WiFi. Which is why I wanted the no-hub plug. But now I cant use the plug and the hub at the same time!?!?! So, i uninstalled the hub. Now I go to set up my plug. App says to be within 40ft. Thats okay Im within 15 ft. App failed to connect to WiFi. Move within 8ft App connects to WiFi Plug turns off during Adding to your home App fails to add plug to home App tells me to factory reset plug and try again I tried 4 times. It never ever connected. I missed my return window So i decided to try it again Same issue. Contacted support. Get message saying they will reach out to me. No one ever reached out to me. Found chat help within the app. Get message saying someone will reach out to me. Now I have no hub for cync light bulbs because it wont reconnect And no plugs cause the plugs wont connect. This is the most garbage product I have ever failed to use. I shouldve known better, but hey at least it was worth the try, right.... No, no it wasnt.

Greater than one weekI wish these worked better. Whenever you open the app, you will have to wait on these the longest for a connection. The smart bulbs and strips tend to respond more quickly. And yes of course, I’m talking with Bluetooth on and I have a mesh network with 3 nodes in my house. Meh.

> 3 dayThese plugs include WiF, Bluetooth and internal memory to store routines. I purchased these to reliably reboot my modem and mesh network devices. The stored routines work without wifi and if there is a problem and my network devices remain off, I can connect locally through Bluetooth to interact with the set. These is a must have item for home networking.

> 3 dayI have two of these smart plugs and a smart switch The app is incredibly difficult to use and therefore the smart plugs and smart switch are difficult to set up. furthermore these smart devices spontaneously drop their connection to my local network requiring me to laboriously set them up again. After hours of frustration, I reinstalled mechanical timers.

> 3 dayI have become a big fan of GE Cync products over the past few months. We already have over 20 switches and plugs installed. Weve been using one of the plugs in our hallway bathroom. It gets cold in the winter, so in the morning, while still in bed, we turn on a space heater we have plugged in to it using a phone (if handy) or telling our Lenovo smart clock Hey Google, turn on the bathroom heater. In a few minutes, the bathroom is nice and toasty and ready for someone to take a shower. My latest project, since our eufy security system does not provide for expandability to add additional sirens...I have some GE Cync motion sensors on order. Theyll go around the house. Then, I bought a few sirens that Im going to plug in to these GE Cync smart plugs. When were out of the house, if any of the GE Cync motion sensors trigger, all these smart plugs will turn on and sound the sirens.
