> 3 dayI bought one of these to replace a manual timer that is in a difficult place to set if the power goes out. . This is so simple to setup and use I plan to get another one for Christmas lights. I have already added one to the under cabinet lights in my kitchen along with a wireless switch for turning all the lights on or off with one button.

> 3 dayThese plugs include WiF, Bluetooth and internal memory to store routines. I purchased these to reliably reboot my modem and mesh network devices. The stored routines work without wifi and if there is a problem and my network devices remain off, I can connect locally through Bluetooth to interact with the set. These is a must have item for home networking.

> 3 dayI love using these. You will have to download the CYNC app from GE to get everything set up, but once your account is set up through the GE CYNC app, Set up is a breeze! Then you just link through google! I chose these GE ones because theyre American made and easier to use than some of the other suspicious apps other smart plugs will make you download. My appliances are GE so I just stuck with what I loved. I wish they were a little smaller but I never see them because theyre behind furniture. Great purchase, would recommend to anyone!

17-11-2024This device seemed like such a wonderful thing, however when it disconnected itself from the Cync app and refused to work or re-install, I permanently unplugged it and put in a manual switch and a timer instead. Im tired of things that are made by U.S. companies but are actually made in china. Im also tired of apps that reset themselves (the GE Cync app) whenever youre not connecting to the hub. We like our privacy and do NOT trust anything thats bluetooth connected. We gave it a try and it sucks. Installing this product is a nightmare created in futility. It can have a complete line-of-sight of the device(s) its connecting to and still wont connect. The technical support stinks because it makes you go through all of the troubleshooting steps again, even if you went through them on your own. It assumes customers are idiots. All things that connect to the Echo dot or other Amazon Echo based product should be able to direct connect to the hub without having to create a separate account on a foreign app. When Alexa is able to detect products at the push of a button like its supposed to do, then, maybe, Ill be on board.

> 3 dayI read all the bad reviews but figured it’s GE, they should be ok. Nope. Have three of these things for about 5 months now. If the plugs are supposed to be on and the power goes out for a second, when the power comes back on, the switches stay off. So if you have, let’s say, an aquarium that needs the pump to be on and the power goes off for a split second, the pump will remain off until you go in the app and turn it back on, or the next day when it’s supposed to turn on again. One of the switches just died after a power outage. I don’t recommend these at all. They’re supposed to save you not ruin you. These smart switches are not so smart after all.

> 3 dayThis worked exactly as expected, sets up easily in the Cync app and then pairs easily with Google Home. As an added bonus it acts as a hub for any smart bulbs you have.

Greater than one weekI got this for my parents to change their old rotary timer for the lights in their front room. The app makes this easy to use.
