> 24 hourIt took a little adjusting back and forth on the Geeni and Google Home apps to get voice control to work. I am certainly not savvy at these sort of things, so if I can figure it out, it must be pretty simple.

> 24 hourThis is a really great product that can turn any device that plugs in into a smart one. We used it for heater in the basement and were able to use it as a timer on a regular basis. Excellent product

> 24 hourAfter struggling to get a different brand of smart plug connected to my wifi, to no avail, I bought this and tried again. This was so much easier. Connection to my network was quick and straightforward. It just connected like it was supposed to. I connected this to my google home app where I manage all my smart devices, and each plug is independently controlled on/off or scheduled, though to use the schedule feature, you have to use the devices app. As with all these smart devices, this is only compatible with 2.4ghz band, so you may need to temporarily disable your networks 5ghz band to get this connected. After its connected, you can turn the 5ghz band back on.

> 24 hourThe Geeni Smart WiFi outlet does everything I need it to. Installation in the receptacle box was a bit tight and I would up having to cut away a portion of the mounting tab on the receptacle box so that the outlet would fit. The ground screw location made that necessary as the hight of the outlet box was the same as the receptacle box opening and once the ground wire was attached the outlet would not fit into the receptacle box opening. Once I got it installed it works great. The outlet is easy to control using the Geeni app. I did find that the written and online instructions for sharing the device were outdate, but after contacting Geeni I received an email with correct instructions.

> 24 hourI purchased this outlet to use outdoors to control a fountain and some lights. The signal to the device is good, even though the nearest router in the mesh I have at my home is a distance away from the device, and indoors. The software that this device advertises is Geeni software. I didnt want yet another app to control my devices, but I went ahead and started to sign up. However, when the software was looking for the device, I noticed the process looked identical to the process used in the SmartLife app - which houses half of my SmartHome devices. So I closed out of the Geeni app and used the SmartLife app and it paired perfectly. Id recommend this outlet to others. If it becomes unstable or doesnt work, Ill update this review to reflect.

> 24 hourThis plug does do what I need it to do, but… You must use the Faceplate Screws provided because the screws and screw-holes on the outlet are smaller diameter than a standard plug, or you can re-tap the holes on the Geeni outlet. I wish this came in more color selections. The rest of the outlets/switches in the house are Light Almond. I can use this though because it is behind a nightstand and I used a Light Almond Faceplate with it. I needed this system to be able to program power to two different devices, and to be able to turn-on/off remotely (cellphone) if needed, so I am not linking it to Alexa and the rest of the Smart Life systems within the house (personal issues with the protocols). I tried using the smart plugs that you can plug into any outlet and then plug your device into but they covered the USB charging ports, which I needed to be able to use too.

> 24 hourThe device is great. I gave this 4 stars because the Geeni app needs a little work. UI is clunky and you have to erase automations/configs rather than have the option to edit.

> 24 hourBottom Line Upfront: Device Does Not Work With Alexa Details: There is a problem with either the firmware of the device and/or the Alexa Skill. The device will add correctly to the Geeni app and has all functionality from there, but when discovery is run on Alexa, only the bottom socket and the USB are “found” and controllable. I reached out to Geeni engineering over a week ago and have heard nothing. This is a major engineering failing and shows that the head of that department is totally useless in their role.
