Ordered several months ago and, way past the return period, finally got around to installing only to find out you can’t ground these while working with a standard size NM rework box or NM wiremold. The ground screw is too tall. Slightly lucky for me I’m working on an old work update GFCI protected circuit with out an equipment ground already, but I’ve run a ground to the new devices. This means even if some point I’m able to ground the main circuit I would have to replace the outlet again to ground it putting in extra work later. After powering the devices up and using the app they are pretty easy to connect to WiFi and they have an at least usable automations capabilities. If you want to use these like myself for controlling kids bedroom TVs, it’s possible but requires some ingenuity setting up the automations. The only really good these have going for them is how inexpensive they are.

It was easy to install and set up. I use it to control power to a line of 5 (soon to be 12) web cams in a bird rehabilitation facility, so if theres a problem, I can reboot the entire system (cameras, switches, Wi-Fi) from 200 miles away without bothering the personnel. Worth the money.

This product is not UL listed. Thats on me for not checking but installing a non UL listed receptacle in your home is dangerous. Lets say your house burns down and it was because of this plug. Your insurance that is doing everything it can to not pay you may say you violated National Electric Code by installing a Non Listed an Non approved receptacle. device would not pair. I have other geenie products that paired fine but not this. Feels cheaply made and sketchy. Overall bad buying experience. Not worth my time returning a 20 something dollar plug i already wasted time installing and trying to pair so i guess i just flushed it because this thing is going in the trash. Instructions are bad.

These were contractor recommended. They seemed easy to install (the contractor installed them). I got them to use at my kitchen peninsula so that we can just plug the usb directly to the outlet because who has time to find the cell phone plug? You can connect them directly to your wifi. Im not going to do that because all I needed was something without the wifi, but it was recommended and needed asap for kitchen reno.

My only complaint is the screw holes for the cover plates are to small for standard cover screws. When I tried to tighten them one broke off in the hole. I secured the plate with the other. On the second install the same thing occurred I had to use foam tape to secure the plate for the moment.

The face plate is smaller than a standard faceplate so when you replace an existing plug keep that in mind

Installed these almost 4 months ago to control my sons amount of time playing video games. Both outlets can be easily turned on/off by the app. Very easy to install and program.

If you set up and work great You can control each outlet which is nice
