> 3 dayThis is exactly what I was looking for. Make the outlets smart and less money on the light bulbs, etc.

10-06-2025What’s not clear from the description is that the two usb is controlled too, albeit as a pair. The top and bottom socket are independent too. The three outlets even have scheduling, as well as Alexa integration. Like a lot of companies, it seems internet access is needed to control them, even when at home. I’ve started moving away from Wemo, who have a better app, but their devices are expensive compared to their competent Geeni counterparts. Once you’ve set up the first Geeni device, adding others is a breeze. Wemo relies on swapping apps and is more fiddly.

> 3 dayI bought 20 of these to outfit most of my house with them. I had 1 in my kitchen burn out while running a 10 Amp pizza pizzaz. I immediately stopped replacing my existing outlets with these and put them up for sale.

Greater than one weekIt works, but when I put the wires in the back of the outlet to wire it up the screw head broke off as I was tightening it, and the threading on the second screw stripped as I was tightening it as well. (I wasn’t putting a lot of pressure on it when it broke).

> 3 dayReplaced 9 outlets and it is very easy to do. Now, no more changing all of the timers around the house when the time changes twice a year.

Greater than one weekI see many reviews that say being able to control both outlets with Google Home. This is not my case and Im wondering if Im doing something wrong. I only see one plug in Google Home. Please see attached screenshots of Geeni and Google Home. Is it the naming? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

> 3 dayGot these so when working nights (swing shift) we can set the game area to shut off, you use these to kill the area with Xboxes and the internet to hopefully keep them from staying up late when its there for bed time. You can use these in conjunction with their lights and have the area the kids play or whatever dim as it gets closer to bed time to serve as a visual indicator to start winding down. It was a little tough getting them set up, they turn off mid set up and if you let it time out it wont connect, simply stay close and when the outlet turns off mid connection ( little blue light goes off) turn it on again and it should connect. Had it time out over a dozen times trying all methods recommended by Geeni and found online and finally just turning it back on again before the app times out during connection fixed the issue.

Greater than one weekThe Geeni Smart WiFi outlet does everything I need it to. Installation in the receptacle box was a bit tight and I would up having to cut away a portion of the mounting tab on the receptacle box so that the outlet would fit. The ground screw location made that necessary as the hight of the outlet box was the same as the receptacle box opening and once the ground wire was attached the outlet would not fit into the receptacle box opening. Once I got it installed it works great. The outlet is easy to control using the Geeni app. I did find that the written and online instructions for sharing the device were outdate, but after contacting Geeni I received an email with correct instructions.
