These work great for neon lights st my bar. Set the in and off program and they are automatic. Love the fact that you can use with Google home and control each plug separately.

I needed to file the existing house wires to get them to fit into the attachments on the outlets.

Easy to install and use. And it worked for a while. But now it won’t connect to the internet.

I had high hopes for this but it took me forever to install since one of the sides would not loosen enough for the wires to be placed through. It took a dozen attempts and different people to try to finally make it work. Once in, I set it up but realized once you plug in a USB, you can use up to one of the regular plugs but you cannot use the second plug since there is no space from the USB being in use and taking up space. I bought this to use my Alexa with but Alexa will turn off all but the USB so it defeated my purpose. I wish I could return it.

I purchased 2 of these outlets and both have the same problem. I had an electrician install them because they were replacing switched outlets and I wanted to confirm we were installing them correctly. The electrician could not get either of the Geeni outlets installed. The screws did not back out far enough to wrap the wire around and then would not tighten enough to hold the wire. On one, the screw broke off after half a turn trying to tighten onto the wire. On the other, the electrician could not tighten the screw tight enough to hold the wires and he was able to pull the wire off without effort. This could be a fire hazard. Im returning them both and Im bummed because I was excited to be able to use them. But, when a professional cannot get them installed safely, then theres a problem. I tried calling Geeni, but cannot find out whether this is a known issue or just a bad batch.

I see many reviews that say being able to control both outlets with Google Home. This is not my case and Im wondering if Im doing something wrong. I only see one plug in Google Home. Please see attached screenshots of Geeni and Google Home. Is it the naming? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I installed it behind our Christmas Tree, to control its lights. It looks better than solutions reliyng on external add-on plugs. Its fairly easy to install and configure. It makes easy to remotely switch on and off each plug independently, and to configure a schedule, via the app. The app can also automate the lights, not just with fixed time based triggers, but also with triggers based on other events, like sunrise/sunset that may be more suitable for outdoor lights (plus triggers like temperature, humidity, weather, wind speed, that might be useful for other types of appliances)

The save exact product I ordered some time ago but under a different name. The last one crapped out after some time and this was the replacement. Of course, that made it easy to install and set up as I had done it prior. Heres to hoping this one performs better.
