Every smart outlet that replaces the old outlet was unsafe having earth leakage issues. This is the first one that is safe. Once I added the app, the app was smart enough to see the new device. Made it very easy to install. After installing the first one and seeing how well it worked, I purchased two more

Starting out, my home was built in 2011 so everything was already modern specs so it was pretty much remove old and replace with new. I didn’t have to worry about electrical boxes or wires not matching. The only install issue I had was the fact that one of my faceplate screws did not want to screw into the metal hole. When it finally went in, it felt as though it had been stripped. It never secured tightly and just kept spinning so once it looked in place, I just stopped and left it alone. Setup was easy via the Geeni app. Plugs work great through Alexa. You can control each outlet and USB individually if that is what you need. Definitely get this one.

Installation was simple for anyone who has ever changed a wall outlet. the Screw connectors support two wires so a daisy chain connection does not need wire nuts. I did not bother with the suggested app for controlling as I already use Smart Life app and it discovered and set up the outlet perfectly. my only, and I mean only complaint is the bright green LED that lights when the outlet is powered on. its very eye catching in any room, and would be completely disqualifying for use in a bedroom as far as Im concerned. Edit: after adding a couple more of these outlets it turns out it is physically too large for standard old work type boxes or exterior metal boxes. the ground wire lug is on the bottom of the outlet and sticks out too far to fit in box. I removed my old junction box and installed a new larger new work box and it fits, but its additional complexity that will be a deal breaker for many people and doesnt work in all situations.

I needed a smart plug but did not have room behind a dresser. In searching for a plug that would plug in from either the side top or bottom I came across this plug. I thought I would try it. Well first it is so easy to install, it installs just like a normal receptacle. After loading the geenie app I tied it into my network and the plugs just worked. All I had to do was to link it to my Alexa app which was very straightforward and presto the thing worked. You can actually control each plug individually. Super but I need to see if there is a way to just have a way to control both at the same time.

Easy to install, good quality product 100 satisfied

After struggling to get a different brand of smart plug connected to my wifi, to no avail, I bought this and tried again. This was so much easier. Connection to my network was quick and straightforward. It just connected like it was supposed to. I connected this to my google home app where I manage all my smart devices, and each plug is independently controlled on/off or scheduled, though to use the schedule feature, you have to use the devices app. As with all these smart devices, this is only compatible with 2.4ghz band, so you may need to temporarily disable your networks 5ghz band to get this connected. After its connected, you can turn the 5ghz band back on.

Great product, easy to install

While installing the new outlet you must use the cover provided. The screws they provide do not go through the outlet housing or the faceplate. You’ll have to buy new screws. Who in their right mind puts the wrong size diameter screws in their packaging. Because of this, I’ll never buy it again. I’m sure this will get read and they’ll offer a replacement, cool, if you wanna do everything twice and wait a week.
